huklbrry
Can you guys recommend a good light to attach to my M4. How many lumens is good enough?
Ethereal
Budget? There's a ton of good options out there ranging from $60-$600 Are you looking towards a rail mounted dedicated light like the Surefire Scout or just a regular 1" body light to put in a ring. (No less than 65 lumens I'd say for output.)
Duggan
If you get a surefire p60 lamp series, there are lots of LED head upgrades that will get you into the 230+ lumen range for ~$50. This is what I would suggest, for the best cheap light. For instance, a surefire 6p (the metal body keeps the lamp cool, G2s do not) in some type of clamp mount, upgraded with a malkoff m60 230 lumen LED head. The main question is, how do you plan on mounting a light? The mount is the main constraint, choosing a best light is easy if your mounting plan is made clear. ERdept
If I was on a budget, Surfire L4, digital LED, with a cheap clamp. If I had more money, Surefire vertical grip on their rail. or if you don't like vertical grip lights, get the rail and mount their handgun light on it. huklbrry
I installed the Fab 4 rail system and will put on a foregrip as well, so as far as mounts go I would just attach it to the 4 rail and put the switch on the foregrip.
