demonm4 Posted August 25, 2009 Share Posted August 25, 2009 i just bought my m4 and took it to the range for the first time. i was using regular birdshot, but i was having mis feeding problems. is this normal or is there a break in period. please help. I would suggest that with any gun...both to learn about it and also to ensure it is in proper working function prior to shooting. Mine shot 1 oz loads first time out....and has never failed to cycle anything for me yet. demonm4 Posted August 25, 2009 Author Share Posted August 25, 2009 i just took it out of the box, put it together and went to the range. i put 250 rounds through it. came home and cleaned the barrel, trigger housing, and just wiped down the bolt with out taking it apart. i only put oil on the bolt and on the part that slides down into to the recoil spring. Sukhoi_fan Posted August 25, 2009 Share Posted August 25, 2009 You want to make sure the bolt carrier is well lubed at the receiver rails, all the surfaces where the bolt and bolt carrier interface, and at the rear of the bolt carrier where the recoil link is attached (recoil link pin).
