So, I have the RMR on an American Defense Mount. The rail is Mesa Tactical w/ saddle. It fits LOVELY, no marring of the AD Mount or the rail!

So, yeah, NO possibility of co-witness as I asked earlier in the week, but I'll give this a whirl. Just got stuff today, so hopefully hit range Monday(too busy this weekend!)

I know some of these are fuzzy, but wanted ya'll to see the difference of red-dot vs iron sights. You can still see the two white rear sight dots. I can't attest to how much you've had to drink prior to viewing though. hehehehe!

The mount may allow co-witness, but the RMR itself will get in the way.

I just had to look at A.D. since I wanted a quick mount. I like that they're a local company as well.

I never thought, in a million years I'd EVER run an optic on a shotty. I'm just having so damn much fun accesorizing my M4, it's gotten to be an ailment!

NEXT - the M14 underbarrel attachment! Wouldn't that be a stitch!

Hey 2WH,

That looks sweet. I was thinking of getting the powered version. I'll be looking forward to your review of the fiber/tritium model in bright daylight conditions as well as your post-range trip thoughts.

BTW...I love the AD locking system, I have it on a TangoDown VFG, rock solid!

Later,

Thinking of adding an RMR to an FNP 45 Tactical. Leaning toward the FO/Tritium so interested in your review too. What size dot did you get? Leaning toward the 13 MOA reticle for a pistol and probably the best on a shotgun too.

If any of you are thinking about the battery model, you might wish to hold-off. Trijicon is releasing a new model with adjustable illumination at the AUSA Army equipment show here in DC the week of 25 Oct.

I have the same set up with a 9 MOA unit. It works perfect. I have mine on my Sidearmor rail and set a little forward, but it will work anywhere on the rails. Keeps it light since I have the sidearmor, need to not add anymore weight.

I use a Burris FFII on my M4 but after mounting the FO RMR on an FN FNP 45 Tactical I may upgrade. It's a REALLY nice optic.

The battery powered units have smaller MOA dots which are probably better for an M4, especially for slug shots at range, but checkout both options.
