Amsdorf
Just got a question on my YouTube channel about whether or not removing the mag tube on a Benelli M4 with factory camo would in any way do harm to the camo job, if using heat. I wanted to say, "No, just don't over do it." But thought I'd check here first.
Copenhagen
Why don't you ask the guy who asked the question if firing 300 rounds in a row will damage his factory camo.

Jackalope
Just my $0.02, but I don't think they would put a coating on their firearms that wasn't heat resistant. Duracoat's Duraheat is resistant up to 1800 degrees, while Cerakote is up to 1200 degrees.
Jackalope
I tried googling what kind of coating they use for the desert camo but no luck.

Jackalope
I talked to my Benelli rep, and he said that they use a hydro dip developed by Vanguard(?) He was told that they never gave them (Benelli) any technical info as to the heat resistant qualities.
Amsdorf
Again, thank you. I've passed the information along to the guy asking about it on my YouTube channel.
