BLACK Posted July 5, 2013 Share Posted July 5, 2013 (edited) EDIT-Problem Solved My no-name full length mag tube is the problem. This tube is slightly small diameter, allowing the barrel nut to move away from the detent and bind. If I squeeze the mag tube & barrel together, the nut lines up over the detent and comes right off. No problems at all with the factory magazine tube. Thanks to those who responded, yall gave me the inspiration I needed to really look into this. Kip, I need a Ti tube... and a handle, please. Since the detent moves freely - check the geometry of the teeth make sure they are normal and comparable to a working one if possible. Make sure the detent is properly round as well.
