Alphamale1
In my neck of the woods we can only use shotgun to hunt deer. Looking at purchasing the M2 or M4 tactical because of the short barrel allowing ease of carry through thick bush. However not sure if these guns are as accurate for that same reason. Most of my shots are between 10-140 yards. Have also looked at the SBE and M2 with a slug barrel but not thrilled with the cost of ammunition. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. sonny71
If you want to shoot out to 140 yards i would go with the rifled barrel on the sbe or m2.once you get it sighted in you won't go through many shells hunting
Halwg
If it were me, I'd definitely go with the rifled barrel, shooting saboted bullets, and limit my shots to 100 yards, although if you had to stretch it 140 is doable.
GoBow
I hunt deer in some pretty tight spots with an M1, 18" barrel and iron sights. Distances from close out to 50-75 yards; could take a shot out to 100 yds if I had to. Shoot Federal foster slugs, cheap enough. Best of luck to ya.
