Chris Rhines
Hi all, I recently bought a 24" Benelli Vinci, with the intention of using it as my 3-gun shotgun. However, I can't get the thing to cycle reduced recoil slugs. I've tried B&P Target Slugs (1oz. at 1200fps) and Fiocchi Aero slugs (7/8oz. at 1300fps), and neither will cycle the action enough to chamber the next round. Is there anything I can do in order to get this gun to run with low-recoil slugs? Lighter recoil spring, something like that? Thanks! Benelligunny
Best for you to get a pump if you want to shoot something that light. Benelli's are inertia operated. Without enough energy and mass, the required transfer of energy to the inertia system cannot operate and cycle the action properly.
Capt_C
I don't have the solution you're seeking, but I can tell you that my Super-V runs light, target-velocity 1-oz birdshot loads with 100% reliability. I believe these run 1150-fps. --CC
