etcetera
Is there a quality (not Walmart grade) shell holder for the buttstock, that's 8 rounds in capacity? And fits M4 stock?
HopetonBrown
What's wrong with a receiver shell holder?
etcetera
Too much weight forward. Too bulky. I like the weight to be at the stock end.
HopetonBrown
Stick some velcro on the receiver and a Raven Concealment 4 round card and it's not heavy at all. The buttstock is too far away from the receiver to do quick portloads/slug changeovers.
truckcop
The answer to your question is no. Nearly all buttstock shell holders are some variation of the elastic band with elastic shell holders. And they're all a pain in the neck (literally) if you need to switch shoulders to shoot. Buy yourself a dozen of these, stick them in your go-bag, glove box, cargo pocket, wherever, pre-loaded, and clip them on your belt when the need arises. https://store.safariland.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=3767fd42508dc3e5c4050fd025dc2cf6&Screen=PROD&Store_Code=Holsters&Product_Code=080-12&Category_Code=
etcetera
Point understood. I want something like this, the velcro on this M2: Skip to 8:
HopetonBrown
Just stick some industrial velcro on your buttstock then stick an OSOE or Raven shell card on there. Problem solved. Take a defensive shotgun class, and you'll see running brass on your buttstock isn't advisable.
etcetera
I see why, the reload times go up. Kind of defeats the purpose, might as well carry it on the belt. Who sells the best velcro/shell card in one package?
