Shaggy23 Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Alrighty. So I have a 2008 Benelli Nova. This year a put a bulge in my barrel half way down the thing. Obviously I need to quit shooting the the gun. I'm conflicted though. Frankly I hate the new Supernova/Novas. The trigger guard is too fat and feels awkward. Also they feel heavier than the old model. I may be wrong about the weight though. I'm looking for a second opinion. I'm leaning toward a new barrel but for another $100-$150 I can get a new gun with a new warranty. I'm so conflicted. Do I buy a gun I thing feels awkward, or do I get this one cleaned by a gunsmith and buy a new barrel? Any second opinion is appreciated. Thanks all. Quote
truckcop Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Have you tried to find a used barrel? Gunbroker, local gunsmith possibly. Or even try for used gun of the same vintage as yours. Quote
jimbo45 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Normally I would say just do both but since you dont like the feel of the new ones I would say definitely dont go that way and just get a new barrel. Quote
