Heat gun on desert camo?

I am looking to add 2 rounds to my m4. I saw changing the tube requires a heat gun. My benelli has the desert camo finish. Should I be worried about the heat gun and discoloration?

You can focus the heat on the magazine tube. You won’t be using it afterwards. You can put wet rags on the receiver for added protection on the receiver.

Remove the bolt then put the receiver in a vice. If you focus the heat right on where the tube meets the receiver, it will warm up fast and minimize the risk to your finish.
