john11109 Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 I have the opportunity to purchase a used M3 90 with silver finish, it is factory. Did Benelli offer the silver finish in the US? Seller wants $1,200 for it. I can't find a silver one that sold recently. Thanks Quote
Vertigofirearms Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 That looks to be a genuine Benelli M3 kromo. You can see the receiver is marked Benelli Armi, which indicates it is not imported through Heckler & Koch or Benelli USA. It is exceedingly rare if it is actually in the USA and in private hands. Honestly I would be skeptical and request more information of it's origin. 1 Quote
Vertigofirearms Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 Oh yeah by the way, so the M3 Kromo wasn't available in the time of the Heckler & Koch importation. So it needs to be marked Benelli U.S.A. Corp. on the receiver. Quote
bambihunter Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 What finish is actually on it? NP3, Cerakote, something else? Or, just painted that color? I think a M3T folder would look awesome with that finish but those were all H&K to the best of my knowledge. Quote
Vertigofirearms Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 It is nickle plated. Only comes in that configuration with those sights and magazine capacity. The field stock can be swapped for a pistol grip, but it comes with a field stock from the factory. It is the only combat shotgun that has the moniker "Kromo" whereas the others are called H2O. The Nova H2O is plated with nickle as well before it is over molded with plastic. The receiver finish will be exactly the same as some of the sporting shotguns like the Raffaello. Quote
