My M4 is getting heavier with each add

I mean no offense but why on God's green Earth would Benelli design the front sling attachment larger than the through stock rear attachment on my M4 with solid stock?  I bought a 1 1/4 inch Magpul from Amazon after measuring the front attachment and had to send it back. PIA. Has anyone found one that works? I've added a Streamlight with offset mount and a Romeo green dot. I want to get the 8 round extended tube but the dang things getting heavy for my 77-year-old torso to lug around. I want to use the pre-installed mounts.

Any help greatly appreciated.

This is the best option for a QD sling plate, however they are very hard to get and usually disappear soon after availability.

I have a couple of them in my M4 stocks. Noveski makes quality stuff.

If you want to use the slot though, you will still have to have a 1" wide sling.

This outfit makes a copy. And want twice as much for it. I'd wait for a Noveski.

Specter Gear has a couple of different options for the M4 ... https://www.spectergear.com/searchresults.asp?Search=benelli&Submit=

I'm not a tic tac tech kind of guy, and knowing I'd probably just wind up strangling myself to death trying to manipulate too many straps and buckles in an emergency, I went with the very basic Recon 2 Point Sling that I mated to this ... https://www.amazon.com/Pro-Tec-Neoprene-Shoulder-SHPAD12/dp/B00UFCVK8O

I hope that helps. Have a good one.

I am using a standard Magpul MS1 sling that works in both front and rear slots. Any "mil-spec" sling should work such as BCM, etc...

I assume you're talking here about the Benelli M4? How does that work for you being that the Magpul slings are 1-1/4" wide and the OEM Benelli M4 sling plate in the stock is only 1" wide. The reason that the OP posted his complaint in the first place.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. I believe Magpul and others offer a 1" adapter strap for the rear. That's what I like about the Specter Gear ones. They just plain fit.
