polloi82 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 M4 just arrived and note that it came with the enhanced charging handle and bolt release found on the gen 2. This is a 11721 LE. Pleasantly surprised, and glad I held off on ordering aftermarket options. Speaking of aftermarket, bt-parts is running a firesale on the B&T quad rail ($125). Can't wait to take this out to the range! 1 4 Quote
ShellNewbie Posted February 19, 2025 Posted February 19, 2025 Does your M4 have a removable choke? I recently saw a 11715 with the new controls and thought of picking it up but it has the fixed modified choke which I’d rather not have since I will be using slugs. Quote

I'm not sure how to tell, to be honest. It is fixed, but I can't visually see any constriction in the bore. I Form 1'd it and installed the 14” cylinder bore entry barrel before ever using the stock barrel. The short barrel does great with slugs! Quote
ShellNewbie Posted February 23, 2025 Posted February 23, 2025 The choke type should be marked on the barrel near the chamber. Three stars represent modified. If it is not fixed, you should be able to see the removable choke at the muzzle end of the barrel. Instead of stars there should be notches representing which choke is installed. Are you seeing a better deal for the 14” barrel than the $950 most places have it listed for? 1 Quote

The 18.5” barrel does indeed have the 3 stars (very faint, almost missed them). Botach has a boatload of the 14” barrels on sale for $800, which is where I got mine. Quote

WCCPHD Posted June 5, 2025 Posted June 5, 2025 I spoke to Benelli Customer Service today to inquire about the LE M4 11721 having interchangeable chokes (or being threaded for them). I was told that the new M4's will no longer have interchangeable chokes. I looked at two this week at a local LE supply and they were not threaded for choke tubes. Luckily I found one at a vendor in another state that had some in stock with the threaded barrels. Benelli has yet to change their website about changing the barrels. This may lead to some customers not being happy. Quote

I called them and they said that all the guns they had were fixed choke models. Quote
