onlybennellis Posted March 18, 2025 Posted March 18, 2025 (edited) Is this wear under the ejector on the m4 normal? I don't seem to have any major issues, the bolt rides smooth probably because it's worn in, I have about 1000 rounds on it. But I do have the occasional failure to eject on the last round, so I wonder in my bolt position is slightly out of spec. Edited March 18, 2025 by onlybennellis Add images Quote
Franklinexpress Posted March 19, 2025 Posted March 19, 2025 I would just email Benelli to get a correct answer. Quote
onlybennellis Posted March 19, 2025 Author Posted March 19, 2025 I did, haven't gotten a response yet. I'm just trying to see if anyone else has this wear. 1 Quote
Franklinexpress Posted March 22, 2025 Posted March 22, 2025 Question, did you mess with the top rail at all? Check if the top rail screws are protruding and pushing the barrel insert down. Quote

Looks like the screw that is supposed to be second to the rear is slightly shorter and flatter on the bottom than the rest, never would of thought one out of the five was slightly different. 1 Quote

The screw protrusion seems most important to that second to last hole though l, all the others have much more clearance, I probably over tightened them as well before. Quote

Yup easy to tighten past the end, and into the receiver. It’s a known issue. Edited March 24, 2025 by Franklinexpress Spelling Quote
