Jaason0 Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 I made a post about this new DFL coating about a week ago. I wanted to give an update on how it turned out and how it has been performing. I got my Daniel Defense V7 Pistol and Benelli M4 H20 bolt carriers coated in the DFL coating ( and the charging handle so it would match lol ). Also putting some pics of my AR and Benelli bolt below. Alabama Cerakote and Laser is charging $75 bucks to coat your bolt carrier in the new DFL coating. The owner is a super good guy that does quality work and the reviews speak for themself. If anyone interested in having your bolt done or questions i ll put their website info and email address below. Jaason0 Posted December 26, 2025 Author Posted December 26, 2025 Here's a cool video on the dfl coating that they put on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19EmRJ8P2F/ Quote
Blain Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Considering the bolt is already hard chrome plated, how much of a difference does coating the carrier make? Do you notice it being able to cycle lighrer power loads that it couldn't before? Quote
Jaason0 Posted January 19 Author Posted January 19 It does seem to cycle a little smoother and lot easier to clean. I think the chrome plating is on the inside. I have prob 300 rds thru mine now and i like it a lot. It seems to cycle smoother. The coating has some cool properties. I coated my DD ar 15 and my 870 bolt carriers. I have never had any issues shooting loads. Mine will shoot anything except less lethal round. Low brass, high brass.....doesn t matter. I ll have to try a less lethal though to be sure. 1 Quote
