Newbie with first shotgun

Hello all! I recently purchased an M1014 and I would appreciate any break-in suggestions and what types of rounds to use/not use.

Welcome,my M1014 eats lite,heavy,medium loads whatever I feed it,for me there was no real break in time,just put it together read the manual and go,the M1014 is truly a ground up extra heavy duty combat shotgun.I LOVE em M1014

M1014 mate, are both of these beauty's rifled ??

 

In case one of them is smooth-bore , have you ever fired brenneke type'a slugs from it ? Is there much difference between rifled or smooth-bore accuracy ?

 

Never owned rifled shotgun , but brenneke and smooth-bore helped me take down more than 40 russian boars over the years. If rifled is better by any large margin, than i'd love to try one ( and Yes - Benelli M1014 will be the choice of the day )
