72mustang Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 bought a used nova and origianl owner frigged with it and couldnt get all internal parts back in. im looking for a schematic picture that shows all parts and where they go for the nova pump. thanks... Quote
tucker301 Posted October 8, 2006 Posted October 8, 2006 The Benelli Italian site also has PDF's of most models online at http://www.benelli.it/Articoli/Download.asp?Type=SPL They are a bit more refined and detailed. Use the Nova tactical manual, as the regular Nova manual appears to be missing. Quote
72mustang Posted October 8, 2006 Author Posted October 8, 2006 ok... the pics didnt really help me out much, but i think i figured it out. The spring is about 4 inches long and i believe its called the ejector spring. With the barrel off.. it slides into the breech then the other piece of metal pushed up against it then the barrel slides in/on and rests up against them. I hope that is where they go. Anyways... another question. After the nova has been pumped and fired (dry fire with spent casing) the bolt slides back about 1 inch and stays there. Is this normal? If storing the gun after being fired.. the bold stays open and doesnt completly close. Ive never seen this before with any other pump by other manufacturers. Is this the way the benelli nova operates? thanks... Quote
Ol'Roy Posted October 12, 2006 Posted October 12, 2006 My brother has a nova, and if I remember correctly this is a normal thing. The nova is just a little different than most shotguns, just keep shooting it until you feel comfortable with it. Good luck Quote
DaleM Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Just got my new Nova, and the Ejector pin, Ejector Spring and the Pin were not installed. I have figured out how to install both the Ejector Pin, and the Ejector Spring, but the Pin that is supposed to hold them in place is not obvious to me. They are parts numbers 15, 16 and 64 on the link provided in post #2 by Ol' Roy. Can anyone help please?! Quote
tucker301 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Why would these parts not be installed on a new gun? Quote
HOGWILD Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 If you have any left overs maybe i could build one? Hope you did not pay for it? http://www.benelliusa.com/customer-service/pdfs/Nova.pdf Quote
