NoTox
Got a question for you hevi-shot guys. I am going on a hunt for lesser canadian geese this week and would like to shoot hevi-shot. I normally hunt ducks, so I am not sure what size/choke to use. I have heard you can step down iin shot size. I am shooting a SBEII with factory, probablly modified cirochoke. Thanks. Drundel
#3 or #4 should work nicely. you can probably get away with #5 if the shots aren't that far.
Bryce Brodeur
o.t.t. I was in Dicks sportings not to long ago and was looking at their steel shot and the 2 1/4 had the fps of 1440 and the 3 had the fps of 1320, faster than the lead I am using. TurkeyKrazy
I shoot a Nova for turkeys. I used a H.S choke tube. I used # 6 3 1/2 High Velocity Mag. I killed 2 birds at 60 yards dead as a door nail. You really can lower your shot size with Hevi Shot.
