Nico57
Does anyone have an idea on the max range for turkey using #4 shot, 3Inch shell and 26Inch BBl on a Nova 12 guage ??
john h
Had 11 pellets in the head and neck at 36 paces 2 years ago with 2ozs. of 4's and a full choke, not xtra full 3" load in a BPS if that helps. John
IdahoDucker
It will depend on your choke and load combination. But with the right one 50 isn't unreasonable. Pattern testing is important at that range. Lead 4's are going plenty fast enough at 50 yards but you still need to consistantly have several of them in the head/neck. Danny45
I used Federal 3" #4s out of my 28" Stoeger w/ it's factory turkey choke. I thought he was around 35 yards when I shot. Wound up being closer to 45. Dropped him like he was shot with a cannon. I didn't count the pellets, but his head and neck was messed up. Only about 8 pellets in the body.
