Gerrya
Shot NIB M4 today. I shot Mostly Winchester Super Target #8 shot 1200FPS/3Dram 1-1/8oz. It did not like to cycle this. It did eat up the Lawman 00 Buck I put through it with no malfunctions. Is this common? will I be able to shoot the lighter loads after break in. How many rounds is considered broken in. Thanks in advance,
d
It is common Gerrya, do not sweat it. Send a couple dozen rounds down range, take it home and clean it very well. Then use a high quality oil (I like XF-7) to lubricate everything and your weapon will chamber, cycle and fire everything. regards-d
AFPJ
Ditto on d's comments. I shot 1 box of 25 'standard' 71/2 oz lead shot at the range, then it ate everything including Winchester super-lite target loads...NO problems whatsoever. see this thread http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6636&highlight=m4+break+in
