m_eason_98
I will start off by letting everyone up front know that I am a noob. I just picket up my first shotgun this weekend, a Suppernova synthetic with 26" barrel. One of the reasons I picked this gun over others was that it was designed with modularity in mind. I will be using it for a viriety of hunting (small game, geese, ducks, deer) as well as home defence and shooting clays. With that being said, were are some good places online to get parts such as barrels, stocks, and accessories? I know I want to get the 18.5" barrel for when it is at home, and the riffled barrel for deer, but I can't seem to find them anywere. Are the nova and supernova barrels the same? and what sights would you recommend for the 26" barrel that will be used most of the time for small game and waterfoul? And what sights would be best for the 18.5 being used for home defence? I know there are allot of questions, but I really appreciate the help. Full Bore
Your asking a lot from one gun. Barrels alone are not cheap and will run you $250 to 300 + for each. Your almost farther ahead to buy another gun. I'm not sure if barrels interchange between Nova and Supernova's. Any Benelli dealer can get you parts. There are not many online choices except Brownells and GunParts Corp. Most all Benelli's are designed with modularity in mind however with the lower cost of the Nova and Supernova its not always practical or economical to try to make one gun do it all. Thats why I own four. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your new Benelli.
Full Bore
I just found Cabelas has a slug barrel for $219.00. It appears according to them the Nova and Supernova barrels interchange. Here's the link. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0041291228222a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=benelli+barrels&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=benelli+barrels&noImage=
schnabel
With that being said, were are some good places online to get parts such as barrels, stocks, and accessories? Try serarching these every couple of days, should turn something up. www.eBay.com www.gunbroker.com www.auctionarms.com I know I want to get the 18.5" barrel for when it is at home, and the riffled barrel for deer, but I can't seem to find them anywere. Instead of a full rifled for deer I bought a rifled choke. It works great with Brenekke type slugs, only $40 for the choke. 3-shots touching at 50yds using just the bead sight and resting the gun on the side of my truck bed. Also search often; http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=7&f=47 http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewforum.php?f=73&sid=33e1dd1f78552357792f5eeec6f1cb9b Are the nova and supernova barrels the same? and what sights would you recommend for the 26" barrel that will be used most of the time for small game and waterfoul? And what sights would be best for the 18.5 being used for home defence? Best sight for all those would be the standard bead. For home defense add a surefire flashlight.
