ccwinmemphis
Has anyone here tested the Surecycle +2 extension for the M4 ? I'm considering buying one and wondered whether there were any problems with this system. Thanks
Full Bore
I don't have one, I went with a full length tube. Those that do have them have posted they are fine operationally. Many just don't care for the larger attachment collar. It can interfere with accessory mountings such as rails, lights and lazers. You can find those posts if you do a search. AFPJ
I have the surecycle on mine. The full mag extension is nice...VERY nice, according to all (especially the ones from SOCOMguy) but I didn't want to fool with the heating up the part etc of putting it on. The following thread has some discussion of the surecylce compared to Jakjakman's factory extension and it's relation to the sidearmor attachment. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7988&highlight=afpj Below is my surecycle with some measurements to compare with (my original post lost the link) http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g225/afpj1/m4/DSCF0599.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g225/afpj1/m4/09062227.jpg
ccwinmemphis
Thanks for the head up info. I'm going to order the +2 extension based on these positive comments. Here is another question: is the M4 more or less sensitive than an M1 Super 90 to cycling problems with light loads. I seem to get both sides of this argument. wingbone
Has anyone here tested the Surecycle +2 extension for the M4 ? I'm considering buying one and wondered whether there were any problems with this system. Thanks I would wait and think about it man!!...I had the surecycle ext. and they function fine, the problem is that you have to take the extension off to remove the barrel, if you do not want to pay the money for the benelli factory ext. I would look into the Nodak Spud +2 extensions for the M4 and that is just my 2 cents
Full Bore
The M4 is a gas assist gun (ARGO System) meaning it will use gas to assist cycling especially lighter loads and enhance reliability. I would certainly think it is more reliable than an M1 with lite loads. My M4 cycles any load very well. Not one hickup yet. I agree with Wingbone. The Nodak Spud extension is a much nicer and trimmer option in my eyes. Its also the closest to a factory ext. http://www.nodakspud.com./
AFPJ
Wingbone, I never tried a factory extension...the surecycle extension has to removed for takedown. Are you impying that the factory extension and Nodak's can be left on for takedown? I just went for absolute price since I am a tightwad (wife calls it something else) and only care about function, not looks. Yes the surecycle ain't pertty. Yes the surecycle ain't pertty. the factory and Nodak Spud extension do not have to be removed to take off the barrel, and last I heard the spud guy changed his finish to closer match the finish on your Benelli....but I still think for the money you are gonna spend on the extension no matter what you buy it would be best to drop the a little more money and purchase the full length tube from socom guy, he does a really good job. AFPJ
Oh man, I can't tell you how many times I've thought about that full length tube. Then the hairs go up in the back of my head because someone is breathing down my neck:eek: I'm just happy to be alive and own an M4...Thanks for your reply!
