M1014 Posted February 10, 2007 Author Share Posted February 10, 2007 yes it will fit your M4 too,,its a plastic heatshield for a winchester,,bought at a local gunshow,,trim the rear ears about half way or so then filed them thin,, test fit them on and off until you have a desired thinness,,,the front caps may need some shimming if they do not tighten down all the way..I diid this with my M1 tactical years ago and was very successful,,on the M1 I trimmed the rear of the forend,,didn't want that for the M1014 so I trimmed the ears of the shield instead.
