I am not very hard on my guns as far as abuse. Will they peel, rust etc with normal cleaning and storage. it is Not an issue with any of my cuurent guns. If it happens to get a nick or two, it can easily be touched up with modeling paints. If you want a low maintenance finish the camo is the way to go.
