gregor187
Has anyone had this problem. I have tried this load in my SBE with three different chokes. Briley,Rhino, and Primos and it prints a foot low in one choke. 8 inches right with another choke and high with a third choke. This is with 2 different lot numbers of shells. Their 3 inch shell shoot perfect in all chokes memtioned. has anyone else run into this. And does anyone have a clue as to why it happens in these chokes. (bad part is it patterns awesome)
CH/QuakerBoyProstaff
Are all your tubes ported? I had a similar problem until I switched to an un-ported tube.
tucker301
Sounds like flinching.
CH/QuakerBoyProstaff
That does bring up a good question,if the 3in shells shoot perfect, why do you want the added shoulder beatdown and cost of 3 1/2" loads?
sdkidaho
Payload. ........
gregor187
ALL THREE POST ANWSERS. Yes all three are ported chokes...had not thought of that. Not a flinching problem for sure........ Recoil not a problem,,,Payload IS the reason...It is throwing about 50 more pellets into a 10 circle...If it would hit in kill area it would be a legimate 50 yard gun with this load. And it is just this partiular shell. all other 3 1/2 inch shells shoot to point of aim... Thanks for looking..
mudhen
No. I have shot 3.5 XR in maybe 12 different choke & gun combos, all have the identical POI. The density of the pattern varies though.
CH/QuakerBoyProstaff
I fell in love with Hevi13.That stuff is NASTY in all the guns I've tested,in a good way!I might buy a GA licence, and shoot turkeys from down here in Florida with it( LOL).All kidding aside, keep trying new things and have fun!I have as much fun getting ready as I do on the hunt.
