Alaskapopo
I can't get the darn thing to fit on the gun. Any tricks to it. Its the Surefire M80 rail system. pat
Super M4
You have to take the barrel off the gun, and gently pull the rubber gas piston cover back and hook it in on one side, it will pop right into place, then slide it toward the muzzle end to lock into place. Alaskapopo
The problem I am having is once it is on the barrel it will not lock into place on the muzzle end. My M4 is brand new did the change something recently. When I screw the magazine tube end cap on I can fully lock the barrel into the reciever. Flame Red
I think I had the same deal and I just played around with it a bit and figured it out. I did put put a good coat of oil on the barrel to let it move and as corrosion protection. Seemed to slip right into place with a bit of fidgeting. No force was necessary. You don't have it on backwards?
Alaskapopo
I sent it back today. They must have changed the barrel band shape as it did not line up with who the hand guard was cut at all. It was on correctly. Pat
pamat
How old is your M4? I bought mine last year and the surefire fit perfect.
Alaskapopo
Its brand new. I think they changed the forend. I could be wrong. Which is kind of a bummer because I really wanted that M80 to work. Pat
