turkey_tom Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I have an SBE2 with 24 inch barrel. Is this going to work for me on Turkeys? Choke tube to use? Quote
tucker301 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 No. You cannot kill turkeys with that configuration. OK, so I'm kidding. Yes, of course that will work. A 30" will work too. The turkeys will be just as dead either way. Kicks, Rhino, Jellyhead, Factory chokes, Patternmaster, Briley, Carlson, Primos.... They all work. Quote
wildturp Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Yes it should work great! I went with the 26" barrel just because I will be using it for other things. The 24" should be easy to manouver in the turkey woods and it is a great length plus you will probably be using an extended choke tube. I have heard of people using even shorter. Quote
turkey_tom Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 Tucker, you had me goin for a minute there. Thanks for the input. Same to wildturp. Quote
tucker301 Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Check out episode 3 for more on barrel lengths. American Gun Dog Quote

BARTMAN Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 wouldn't have any other than my 24 SBE II . just think with a ported extended choke your back at 26" Quote
CraigL Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 It'll work ok, but I would not attempt any shot over 70 yards unless it was in an open field. Quote
