skyred24 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I just purchased the 1 piece tube and debating if i should put it on my m4. Also should I used the stock spring or used the spring that came with the 1 piece tube. Quote
adamlau Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 General rule of thumb is to use the spring with the greatest amount of tension down to the last round. Otherwise, you may opt to go with a Sure Cycle spring. Or you can purchase and use the full length factory spring as I have. Though not stainless, the full length factory spring has greater tension for reliable cycling down to the last round. Another viable option - and one I would choose over the standard factory spring (five shot magazine) - would be a Wolff 40" magazine spring. Quote
skyred24 Posted May 26, 2008 Author Posted May 26, 2008 So where can I buy the benelli full length spring. Is it something that can be order at a regular gun shop and do I let them know I want the full length spring for my benelli m4. Any help from you would be great. Quote
mike452 Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 You are fine! Don't need to buy another full length spring! You have one that came in your M4 and one from Dave Metal Works. They both will work! I'm using Dave's full tube with the original spring. Quote

Any authorized Benelli dealer can order one for you. Make sure you specify the full length spring as the part number is different than the standard 11707 spring. You are fine! Don't need to buy another full length spring! They both will work! You should be fine with both, you will be fine with the factory full length spring. Different part numbers and different lengths are offered for a reason. Quote

And what are the corresponding part numbers? Thx. Quote
adamlau Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 What's the difference between the factory standard 4+1 spring and one for the full length tube? The full length spring is longer, which in a full length magazine tube equates to spring tension equivalent to that of a standard length spring in standard length magazine tube. Part numbers (P/N) as follows: Benelli M4 Magazine Spring (Standard): P/N 70053 Benelli M4 Magazine Spring (Full Length): P/N 70052 Quote
