  1. It would be appropriate for Benelli to now supply the M1014 owners the recoil tube that will allow our collapsible stock to work as allowed under the law. Anyone had any luck?
  2. Where can you get a recoil tube from? I would like one for my spare parts kit.
  3. Have you made up a parts list? Is a Recoil Spring Tube going to be one of them?

    M4 Spare Parts

I recently picked up a U.S. Marine Corps Tech. Manual for a M1014. It does not give any hints as to a spare parts list. From what I have read on this site, I have not picked up any info that would help either. As for a telescoping/collapsible stock, your M1014 needs a a recoil spring tube with proper detents(047J), a pistol grip handle assembly (117J), and a telescoping stock assembly (265J). If I understand correctly and you have a pistol grip assembly (160J) on your gun. That is what you will need. The owners here in the US of M1014's, item number 11701, have not been able to obtain the recoil spring tube to allow us to have our gun do what Benelli is now selling to the public in a M1014 item number 11707 configuration. I advise you to get the parts there. In fact would do me a favor, would you please PM me about you getting me the parts that I need for my gun. PLEASE HELP!
  5. Thanks. Will you share your collapsible stock gunsmith with me?
  6. M1014, Just bought the G&G bolt handle. Why do you say it will not work on the M1014. I have not tried to put mine on yet. Please provide stock info to me also. Thanks!!!
  7. Hey Mr. Mudhen, how about ordering some recoil spring tubes for us M1014 owners from your friends in Italy.
  8. My gunshop that I bought my M1014 from is so feed up with Benelli's treatment of us that they are selling all their stock at a discount through an ad in the newspaper. Benelli management please do the right thing and take care of us.
  9. Yes at Superior. How did you get the stock collapsed? I was thinking about driving out the pins and seeing if I could get them back in in the collapsed postion. Please explain.
  10. The bottom line is that I want a collapsible stock for my M1014. To date I have not seen any evidence that it is not physically possible. I can not think of any reason that Benelli should not accomodate our requests. At this point I would think that Benelli would be worried about people getting hurt from modifications made to the recoil tube that the M1014 came with. I can not believe that Benelli tooled up something for only a 2,500 production run which would prevent the exchange of the recoil tube. (I understand that they are stating other wise.) I can see that the Limted Edition that I was positive of it not losing its value IS! I hope that the 2,499 of us can persuade Benelli to do the right thing. Dport after reading all that you have written are you against the rest of us getting a collapsible stock?
  11. I disagree. If that were so then they should have put the non-collapsibe stock on with the non-collapsible recoil spring tube. The M1014 (11701) is a M4 (11707) except for the barrel (choke tubes), flag engraving, the collapsible recoil spring tube and the non-collapsible stock. The M1014 has a collapsible stock with a non-collapsible recoil spring tube. I do not believe that either recoil spring tube attaches to the their receiver assembly differently, until proven otherwise. My Benelli 2003 catalog treats both the M1014 and M4s' stocks with the same references. The restriction on the release of even the non-collapsible recoil spring tube (049J) to M1014 owners makes this whole issue smell fishy. To say that these guns are that different is spiltting a hair at best. I have asked Customer Service to read their own forum. I highly suggest that they heed our request before the next monthss issues of the gun magizines hit the racks. PS. Any pictures out there of the rear of the receiver assembly for both guns??
  12. Superior. Who at Benelli needs to be written to? Not Customer Service. GM, CEO?? We need to band to together to get the proper tube for our M1014's!!
  13. The link with the pictures is April 4, 2004. They are close up and clear. The only way that the M1014 owners can have a Benelli "original" collapsible stock is to buy a Model 11707 (Law Enforcement) and take the Recoil Spring Tube off that and use it on a M1014. The M1014 stock that we have will collaspe with the proper tube. But Benelli will not release that part to the public. Or to be specific to the M1014 owners, all 2500 of us as the edition is completely sold out (?). Any suggestions on putting pressure on Benelli to do the right thing?
