    Phase out.

Rumor is that Benelli will phase out the SBE I, and the M1. Is this true, and if so has anyone heard a timeline?
  2. Your information on Blacks is incorrect. The hyper sliding from one end of the kennel dog, is the result of improper breeding. IMO Backyard breeders need their nuts cut off, for what they have been/are doing to the breed. These boneheads are not a reflection of the breed/color. As you can tell. I HATE hyper dogs myself.
  3. The SBE II is light and whippy. I do not care for it at all. My advice. Go with the M2. It will cycle the light field.target loads without a hitch. If you ever go goose hunting simply load it with Hevi-Shot, or Kent Tungsten Matrix. The No-Tox lads out there today, have made the 12ga 3.5, and the 10ga obsoloete IMHO. Besides blown doughtnut hole patterns are the norm with 3.5's, even with aftermarket tubes. I have a blk synthetic M2, w/a 26" barrel. It has quickly become my favorite shotgun.
  4. I have a black synthetic M2. Wonderfull shotgun. The safety is perfect on it. Tried some others a the gun shop the other day. Their safety's all felt good also.
  5. birddog, I apologize to you. I have re-read my first two post, and they came off sounding very snotty. I did not mean for them to. I am sorry. The 870 is a Wonderful shotgun. Its was my first one. My father bought me a Wingmaster w/a 32 inch full choke barrel when I was 10. The thing was just about taller than me. hehehehe It is still shucking shells. I have however added a Hastings 26" barrel to it. I hope to buy another 870 here in a day or two from a guy on the Refuge. Funny how we try everthing in the world. O/U's, semi-auto's of every make and model. But when it is all said and done, we always come back to what works the best. Take care, and please know that I did not mean to come off sounding the way I did in the earlier posts. Waxed, We have talked enough over at the Refuge. If you ever get up into the Chattanooga area, you have an open invitation to oour blind. It is there for your asking. I hope you get your problem worked out.
  6. For what it's worth once again. 870 Express= Cheap version Forcing cones- need to be smoothed Choke threads-Alot of are misaligned Inside receiver- To work properly- rails on most have to be lapped, and the walls smoothed with a dremal tool. Close to 100% plastic trigger assy. The Express does serve a purpose. It is a cheap, disposable shotgun. The parts may be the same. Finish is Not. 7. Sam F is 1,000 percent correct. The 870 Express is the el cheapo version of the 870 Wingmaster. If you dont think so. Simply check out the forcing cones, choke threads, and the inside of the receiver of an Express.
