    Xtrema2

M1014, Very impressive. But not very handy in a goose pit, or duck blind.
  2. Ditto the Crio .655 Terror for turkeys. Simply awesome rifle like patterns. [ 01-30-2005, 09:17 PM: Message edited by: BLKLABMAN ]
  3. I own two SBE II's. They will not float a 4th shell. The older H&k SBE's would however. Cant make any pictures, I sold it when it cracked its barrel ring in 99.

    Xtrema2

The Xtrema is bulky and swings like a 4x4. I thought the Xtrema II might have resolved this. From the pictures it looks like they did not. I think I'll pass on this newer edition.
  5. I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When will they be out???

    2005 Benelli

M92 wasn't that bad, up until it hit 10k rounds, then I would chunk it. I thought the bent carriers was a bad run of 391? Mines going great. But man, big ditto on the X2 chokes, honestly, flush chokes should have gone way of the lead shot for waterfowl. When I see someone shoot a 3.5 BBB load in a flush choke I cringe when they pull the trigger. We need a trade in system for our flush chokes, I'll send back ALL of mine for my SBEII if I can be sent like 3 X2 chokes. Brad, I am still seeing 391's go down at SC events with bent carriers, and messed up pistons. Maybe it is a bad batch. The 391 SC I traded to Hooch Bart was still going strong the last time I talked to him. I do not however have any love for the M92. IMHO Its was/is the Worst of the worst. Jams, cracked slides, and broken parts were the norm out of the pistols we were issued. I simply have no use for the pistol. I'm with you. I'll trade in everyone of my flush chokes for just 3 X2's. . Bring on the X2 chokes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2005 Benelli

Beretta taking over the market share??? Please. The M92 was a piece of crap when I was in the service. Jams and broke slides were the norm. You see 391's going down all the time at SC Tournaments with broke pistons and bent carriers. The Xtrema I owned shot 10" left at 40 yards. Friggin Beretta said it was withing standards. 10" at 40 yards within standards????!!!! Kiss my hairy a--. Beretta can keep the're products and market share. On the other hand I have not had one single single problem with 2 SBE II's, a SuperSport, and 2 M1 20ga's that have been modified for my wife. I could not be happier with the products and the results. What would I like to see in the future. Extended choke tubes being the norm. They are easier to deal with, and I like the constriction being outside the barrel.
  8. Mine has held up good, and I have hunted it hard 30+ days in the marsh and fields so far...No problems, other than a little rust on the sling swivel....BUt that is my fault.... [/QB] Same here except, I have had NO problems at all with my with my 2 SBE II's. Season here does not end until next weekend, but I have used them in several states this year, and they have been nothing but Flawless. Could not be happier.
  9. I'm getting really good patterns with .655 Terror and Hevi shot.
  10. Noone is calling you a sissy. In fact I agree with you 100%. I own a BPS 10ga. I own two SBE II's that I love. I also own a couple of gas semi-auto's, a couple of pumps, and two SxS's Hands down the 10ga kicks less than all of them. Plus the patterns/pattern density is a million times better. I have a Gold 10 on order. Try the limbsaver and you might also want to look at the mercury recoil reducer to go in the stock. [ 01-05-2005, 05:38 AM: Message edited by: BLKLABMAN ]
  11. Your not giving up a thing by going to a 26" barrel. The SBE II with a 26" barrel will be as long as alot of 28" 3" shotguns because of the longer receiver. Personal opinion. But for hunting I cant stand anything longer than a 26" barrel.
  12. To me, my SBE II kicks the same as a BGH or a 391 Xtrema even with those shotguns being gas operated and heavier.
  13. As Golden Bear said porting will not help reduce reciol. But it will get you kicked out of a boat or blind. hehehe Try the stock reciol reducer. You might also try to shoot a SBE II. To me the reoil of the SBE II is the same a a gas BGH even with the Benelli being lighter.
  14. I dont know about break in. I bought mine got it home and gave it complete cleaning. That included trigger assy, bolt/firing pin, recoil spring, magazine tube. Put it back together and then shot a 12ga 3.5 BB thru it. I then put in three 2 3/4 1 1/8 #8 and it fired fine. Just for the heck of it, I then put in three 1oz #8's. It fired them flawlessly. Truth is this SBEII and a seond one I bought have been nothing but flawless with the super heavy 3.5 #1's and BB's, medium 3" #1's and 3's, and light 1oz #8 loads. They are hunting shotgun's so the ability to shoot super light loads with them, is not really at the top of the list with me. But it is cool that they will.
  15. 1oz loads are all I use for Sporting Clays(SC). With a typical course being 100 rounds and a Tourmanment being 250 rounds , plus all the rounds burnt up in practice. Its nothing to go thru 400 rounds a week just in practice. Thus.. I want all the recoil reduction I can get. In some of my guns, I will even go as low as 7/8oz.
  16. Briley is making tubes for the SBE II with the Crio. I have 3 of them. They are special order right now. Call Briley direct, and order from them. My tubes were here within 4 days. Great Customer Service. SRM is also making their Terror Tubes for the SBE II. I would suggest the .675 if you go with them I do not know about WW, PM, Trulock, Gold or others. I'm sure other memebers can fill in the blanks. Hope this helps.
  17. I have a SBE II and a Browning Gold Stalker. My advice. Go with the SBE II Mine has been flawless after hunting in 4 states this year. It will aslo cycle 1oz loads all day long. Thats not needed but it is nice. Nice an simple to break down and clean. No hard recoil even with 3.5 BB's. Atleast not to me. Overall just an Excellent shotgun. My BGH is two years old and already looks like it has been thru WWIII. The back of the ejection port has a large raised ridge, and lines running off from it. One section at the very back of the port is actually starting to curl out. This was caused by nothing more than ejecting shells hitting. When I asked Brwoning they said it was normal. Uhhh OK???? From the talk on other websites other owners are having this problem. Go with the SBE II. You wont be dissapointed.
  18. I wouldnt waste time with Hevi-Steel. I bought some 3" 1 1/8 32 and #4's. A store in Bridgeport, AL had some in stock. Could not get decent patterns thru a SBE II or a BPS. It was also some of the dirtiest ammo, I ever seen. Pure blackpower isnt too far behind. No problems with ejections, however I think money is better spent on other shot shells. 19. I just bought my second SBE II. To be honest I just dont see any recoil issues. You mightget a smakc at the pattern board, but that can be said with any gun. When shooting SC for fun with it, or hunting I never feel a thing. That includes 3.5 BB's. The SBE II is by far, my Favorite shotgun.
  20. Uh, ok. Thats a new one. It's Thanksgiving mudhen, not April Fools. hehehe
  21. Problems with the Cheap kent shells are with 3" as well as 3.5's. Look at Winchester Supreme's in steel. I wouldnt waste money on Kents. [ 11-13-2004, 10:00 AM: Message edited by: BLKLABMAN ]
  22. Briley is indeed making chokes for the SBE II. I have a LM X2, and just ordered another X2 in IM Great company to do business with.
  23. There is one in the Dalton area, but if I was you I would go on up the road. I sent you a pm.
  24. Drundle, Browning chips/flaks also. My friends BGH looks like a MOBU checker board. My BPS in MOBU DuraTouch is starting to chip on the stock. I have a SBE II in Advantage Timber. So far the camo is holding up Great. When it does begin to fade and show marks, then no big deal. I'll send it to Duracoat to have it black dipped.
  25. I have not patterned Hevi-Shot thru my SBE II yet. However the factory MOD choke is giving great patterns with Kent 3" #2's and 3's. The factory IM is awesome with Kent TM 3" #1''s.
