Jesus man! Where were you a month ago?!
-
I've got gas, so I'm halfway there.
-
You just said what I was typing while I was typing it. You just used fewer words.

I don't have anything that would apply one way or the other, but I'll make a comment anyway. If I did have such equipment, I wouldn't worry too much about whether it was compliant to 922R or not. When has anyone ever been prosecuted for the violation without first facing more serious charges? Trick out your toys the way you want, shoot at private ranges, and don't worry about it. Now if you're dealing weed out of your kitchen, and you have a non-compliant M4 sitting in the corner, you may be subject to get charged for it.... if the local cops even know how to read the law.

No recourse with insurance? The gun was hardly recovered.
-
It's not likely that DU would have the furniture. I'd call Benelli CS and explain the situation them and ask what can be done. If they can't help, you'll most likely have to look for a regular stock and forend. What about insurance? The jerk basically destroyed the gun, so they should have to cover it as a complete loss. I'm sure you can find one like on gunbroker or Auction Arms if you look for a while. I'd really push the insurance company for a replacement. One more thing. How the heck do you make a SBE into a pistol grip sawed off and still maintain the recoil spring assembly?

Yes, but we call 'em groundhogs or whistlepigs. Hogwild, We used to kill them by the scores back in the early 80's. We had a fellow who would take every single one we brought him, even the one's that had been in the back of the truck for several hours. One year, this guy and his family consumed at least 250 groundhogs

Here's the varmint rifle target. The last two for score and the sighter were actually the last three rounds. I need to investigate why it's dropping like that with a hot barrel.
-
Took it with me to the range this AM. The primary mission was to shoot my Varmint rifle, but I also wanted to re-check the zero on the AR, because I had removed the optic and re-attached it one slot further back. The first shot was before any adjustments were made. The next four were after I adjusted the red dot. For a 1x 2 MOA dot @ 100 yards, I can't see it getting much better than this. ...and this fellow had the bad fortune of sunning himself on a rock on the ride home.

It's just for plinking. Sling is on order. I like the UTG handguards. I'm not going to be sloughing through the mud shooting zombies. Just having fun with a piece of American history.

Help me! I can't stop! Ordered more stuff today. It's like a disease.

I think you have to have minimum number of posts before you insert links or photos. I believe it will tell you the number when you try to post one. Just run up the count on this thread and then go ahead and post one. Here's another primer on posting images http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14613

Can you take some pictures and post them?

Some travel is normal on some gas guns. This should be limited to maybe a 1/2" or so.
-
Be careful. Self-exclamation is illegal in at least three states!
-
Most are the same basic principle. Gas vents through ports in the barrel into a piston surrounding the magazine tube. O rings insure no leakage and the piston is driven towards the receiver. Action bars straddle the bolt group and drive it rearwards. The return spring will either be on the magazine tube between the piston and the receiver or it will be in the stock. Gas adjustments vary, but one of the most common is a rotating ring that allows more or less gas into the system.
-
It should be a pretty simple and straightforward process. Just note the position and direction of the various gas rings and o rings as they come off.
-
If the receiver has a hump on the back like the 48AL, then it's recoil driven. If it looks like this one http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=133395956 then it's gas operated and there may be an adjusting ring under the forearm.

That's Crio. .665 = 3.5" 5 shot

You don't sell much stuff, do you? Is it A or B?
-
Crio or mobile?

Nice! Did you install the Wolff striker spring in that one? They help a ton with trigger pull. Best $6.00 you an spend on one. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=295637

Hmmmm. It did hang once or twice with me, but it was nothing I could pinpoint. What do I look for... other than it not feeding properly? Thanks for the tip!
