Pattern Density, you say? 100% of the pellets in a 2" circle at 300 yards 100% of the time.

extracting the lever on the bolt of my vinci????!!
tucker301 replied to VINCIshooter's topic in Benelli
Do you mean the bolt handle? It should pull straight out. Wrap a string around it several times and make a loop on the other end. Give it a sturdy yank. -
Cleaner Lubricant Protectant I've never tried Breakfree on my black SBEII, but Hoppes Elite Field Cleaner (also a CLP product) works great on the metals and it makes the synthetics look better than new.

Harris has a couple of options that you can consider. If it's synthetic furniture, I'd look at using the HB2R Flange Nut mount. http://tinyurl.com/po6on6 it will work on wood too, but Benelli doesn't leave too much wood in that forearm, so I'd be concerned about it splitting under recoil. If it's wood, I'd probably go with the barrel clamp HB4 http://tinyurl.com/rxjfon /forum filters are blocking i-p-o-d.

Slugo, It's all part of the silly season on Benelli USA forums. No duck season, no turkey season, no deer season. Nothing much to talk about except tacticool stuff and each other. I can't wait for September, when we get a whole new batch of these: "Hey, I paid $x,xxxx for this shotgun and it shoots high and to the left!" "My safety is too noisy and it will scare away the doves" "What's the best barrel length for hunting everything?" "Which end of the shell goes in first, the one that looks like cousin Thelma's navel or the shiny one?"

I'll second what Sgt. Cathy said and raise you one [email protected]

I think he's too young to move out on his own. Just kidding, Vinciboy. Congratulations of the shotgun. Did Pops not know that your keyboard was busted?

No delivery needed. I haul my own!

As far as I can make out from your description, the gun is functioning properly. Benelli semi-autos do not release an unfired round from the magazine unless the either the gun is fired or the magazine catch release is manually depressed. In order to manually unload the gun without firing it, the catch release must be pressed each time the action is cycled. Otherwise, just the chambered out is extracted and the unfired rounds are left in the magazine. I believe your gun is very similar to the "Pasion" model, found on the Italian website. Our resident historian and curator, M1014, may be able to provide more information for you. He may even have one of these guns, if memory serves. He'll be along as soon as he's done yelling at the neighborhood kids to get off his lawn.

Never mind, Duhgun. I found his new gun law.

Tucker sold all of his ARs. - Didn't have but one and the performance to weight ratio was unacceptable for its intended purpose. Tucker consistently makes fun of "tacticool" stuff. - So, you're agreeing that this is indeed a tacticool modification?' Tucker does not own an m4. - Well, you got me there. I don't see myself ever owning one either. The horror. The horror. Tucker proudly ran his mouth about voting for Obama. - Oh my!. It's in bold too! That must be bad? Tell me, exactly what gun legislation has he signed into law since he took office? Tuckers opinion on m4s and their accessories is irrelevant, as IMO he is a perfect example of a Fudd and someone to not take seriously when it comes to "tacticool" matters such as these. - I can honestly say that I wholeheartedly agree with that statement. In fact, my middle name is indeed Fudd. ETA - Tucker also wears women's undergarments and speaks with a french lisp. - Now I thought we agreed that you wouldn't tell about the things you saw that night. May I still call you "Winky Dinky", now that the secret's out?
-
Congratulations! You've made him very happy.

I saw a 121 M1 18.5" sell almost instantly today on another forum for $599. Point being, there are deals out there, but you gotta be on the hunt with cash in hand. I could also show you a HK M1 S90 Tactickle for $500 at this very moment, but you should be able to find that one yourself.

There's no such thing as Canadian Geese. They are called Canada Geese, regardless of where they're from.

Most manufacturers indicate equal muzzle velocities within the same load family with 3.5" and 3". The difference is in the number of pellets in the pattern, not the distances they travel. http://www.federalpremium.com/products/shotshell.aspx

if you're talking about floating a round on the carrier, then the answer is yes, it will cycle properly*. * - Must be an older Benelli or a modified newer one to allow properly float one.

anybody have a pdf of the M2 maintenance manual?
tucker301 replied to darkjedi351's topic in Benelli
Do you mean the parts manual? They are available from the Benelli Italy site. -
That looks like machine engraving. Kinda like the way Mossberg does it.

Thanks for the answers. Both of you. We're gearing up for this year's dinner and we're looking to reduce meal costs, but still have something that will be appreciated and valued. In this economy, the days of prime rib may be over.

When there is a shell in the magazine, pressing the lever releases that shell onto the carrier so that it may be chambered when the gun is fired or the action is cycled by hand. When there are not shells in the magazine, the user can depress the lever and then open the bolt, at which time the bolt will remain opened. There are a number of uses for these functions at the range and afield.

1. Benelli offers a carbon fiber finish, which is a film applied the say way the camo finishes are applied. The materials are not carbon fiber. They only look like carbon fiber. 2. It is true that the Vinci is unreliable with 3.5" shells. That's because it is only chambered for a maximum shell length of 3".

What did they serve for dinner at the Ducks Unlimited dinners you have attended?
