  1. Appreciate the comments, but the question pertained to shot charge weight.....1oz, or 1 1/8oz.
  2. Your choice gentlemen. 1oz or 1 1/8oz non toxic load, ducks, out of a 20ga. Which are ya shootin / prefer??
  3. Well, pulled the trigger and picked one up. I went back and forth with the M2, but after shooting the C 12 this past season and using the sport for clays it was pretty much a done deal as to which way to go. It threw up to the shoulder much better than I can remember any other gun right off the shelf. Only thing to do now is do the waiting period.
  4. Hasn't anyone picked up and shot the Cordoba in a 20?? Interested in your thoughts.
  5. Been shooting a Montefeltro in a 20 for waterfowl during the last 6-7 years. Like the piece. Looking for opinions from folks that use the M2, Legacy, or new Cordoba for clays and / or waterfowl in a 20ga. Thanks
  6. I used a Trulock skeet 1 out of a sbe2 with 2 3.4" hevi shot 4's. Performed excellently. Range was further than one might think. Over dekes,,,,,worked great.

  8. My partner used the hevi steel 4's, while I did hevi shot 4's. The hevi shot outperformed it by a mile. Honestly, I didn't see much difference with the hevi steel than I did from when I / or he shot straight steel. Recoil with the 3" HSteel was considerably more than the 2 3/4 HShot. Along the lines of what you said Matt.... due to the volume of shells shot, I'll be going back to steel. It was a good year hevi shot wise, but it'll have to be a one year deal. BTW: What gun shop are you using these days??
  9. For the super sport...... looking for a LM tube. Recommendations?
  10. For that kind of hunting, get a 20ga. Geese...2% ? Use hevi-shot or TM.
  11. Tucker with good points. Its a shame though for some that wish to use the Cordoba for ducks, don't. Where as I'll agree with the partner deafining point.....I highly suggest wearing hearing protection while duckin. There is hearing protection that still allows for near normal hearing while in the blind. Years of shooting out of rice tanks and boats coupled with competitive calling made it a neccesity for myself. If both parties had protection, the Cordoba would be a option if so desired.
  12. Mudhen....see if you can get me one also. Numbers reflect power. Now, a massive boycott could be at hand. Tell 'em I'm a 4x Benelli owner.
  13. For the record....I ask these questions because I have a sbe2 and a ss. If I knew the cordoba was coming out back when, who knows. I don't however, have the luxary of others. Not complaining though....I'm not doing to bad and others that are doing better....great. In fact, if I can see shootin dux with one, who knows.
  14. Just a question. If it feels and swings like sbe2, why purchase that piece when the sbe2 is more versatile, is handling the lighter loads, cheaper, and is not ported. I'm still out on the ported for duckin.
  15. Shared that due to a earlier comment. ""Opinions vary, but I prefer to have all of my guns at or near the same dimensions, including rib height."" Thats the whole reason for the comments and questions. I agree. Between here and the p.m's I've sent, I'm not any closer. I have had my sbe1 fitted. To do so, the fitter put a small extension between the pad and stock. How does that happen with the gel pad?
