there has to be more to this than the obvious!
  3. liljake05, pay no attnetion to the hogwash gun guy is putting out. The Benelli trigger must pull the hammer back before it is released to cause ignition of the primer. If the trigger pull is heavy 6 to 10 pounds, contact Benelli or a "competent" gunsmith.
  4. Lonestar, ask tucker301, he has one. From the information on the web, get the Cal. you want in the beginning because additional barrels seem to be hard to come by.

gun guy, did you ever hear that less is more? ramble, ramble, ramble............ Each day it is more and more evidant as to why you do not understand the "Orange Jello" remark!
  6. docgary, As usual, tucker is right on with his advise/response to your questions and concerns. I also shoot more clays than game but I do get into the field several times a year. I chose the M2 for a field gun but it's fit and feel have spilled over into the range. My clays scores have improved by an average of 17 per round. The gun is awesome(sp?). I was shooting a Beretta 686 prior to the Benelli. Last Saturday, I shot a round with two friends who shoot Beretta and Merkle. They were giving me a really hard time about my "PLASTIC" gun! When the round was over they didn't have much to say, the closest was 13 birds behind.
  7. you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink
  8. check out the Benelli home page under firearms, 2 camo versions, wood stock version and synthetic.
  9. This was a test of reliability for my own personal satisfaction and peace of mind. This weapon will never go that long without cleaning again. I do not have a M1. I do feel that the M2 I have, as well as other benelli products, will perform in any adverse field conditions that will be encountered. Thanks for your reply.
  10. blackbeard, check out the post about stock fit. tucker301 posted a site that is interesting, really explains what incorect stock fit causes and gives some cures. If you have any questions about web sites or need information, give tucker a ring here on the forum. He usually has an answer for everyone, even campers from Iowa? Sorry that's another story. Still good seafood on the causeway?
  11. Just an information input for the M2 Field. My new M2 is thru it's break in period and I wondered about reliability. The gun was put thru eight full rounds of clays without any cleaning what so ever. I know some of you will throw rocks at me for this but it was to prove or disprove a point. In 800+ rounds there was only one stovepipe and it was my fault, limp shoulder bad mount. Reliability isn't a question anymore.
  12. Your Benelli dealer can order the item for you. Check out the Benelli home page, Mag tube extensions, springs and limiters for tubes if you so desire. Look under accesories.
  13. Just received my M2. Comes with the standard comb, raised can be ordered from benelli dealer. I have been shooting a Browning A-5 for 35yrs, was skeptical of the performance claims of the Benelli. After putting aprox 400 rounds thru it, I have one thing to say. It is without a doubt the best field shotgun I have ever had to my shoulder. Recoil is about half the browning, handling is twice as fast. And on top of it all, out of the box it cycles with 2 3/4 dr. 1oz shot. From watching the forum I have seen that some guns will shoot light loads and some will not. I guess I have one of the good ones. Tucker, you have given some good advise to many people, you were insturmental in my purchasing a Benelli. It is everything you said it would be, Thanks!
  14. Chip, trust Tucker301. He must be employed by Benelli. His advise and information is straight and honest. You would be wise to consider his recomendation.
  15. The guy form Iowa was not in good humor today!!!! Shame on you for giving info that is contained in public domain.
  16. JSM....There is a high cheek piece listed in the accessories page of the Benelli site, for comfortek stocks. Main page click firearms, click barrels stocks & accessories, click accessories and go to bottom of page. Hope this is helpful.......lb
  17. tucker301.......You really nailed it, crazyhair didn't respond with advise or question!
