For waterfowl only. For a 60 year old guy... would the recoil difference in these 2 three inch guns be significant? I have a sbe II and prefer it to xtrema, but recoil is not my major concern. I plan to purchase one of these two guns for my father. I have never seen a M2 in the field. Have hunted with the Berretta.

RNT guys are great. ECHO calls are also nice. I have the Echo open water and like it.

I have fired several cases of 3.5 with Nova. If you do not cycle the pump with a little force you will slightly jam the shell. Never happens when you are making your second shot. Only a problem when you are cycling out a shell. I used the recoil reducer as well. Made the gun heavy but seemed to take a little of the recoil out. I treated my Nova like a boat paddle and it never failed. Only cleaned it once in 2 years and hunted in the mud.

Anyone experience a blister or cut from the receiver of sbe II on their trigger finger? Nova pump did not do this as it was rounded above the trigger guard. Sbe II caused me to bleed after many shots on a recent duck hunt. Gun is new to me. It now appears that a callous is forming at the abrasion site. Not that big of a deal but annoying. I do not think tape would stick to the gun at this spot. Any other ideas?
