Hey Jim,
Yeah, I got my R1 about 6 months ago, a 30.06 as my new primary hunting rifle (a classic Remington M1917 has been demoted to my backup). I got one with an Eotech stock, which makes it quite easy to handle even after 80-100 rounds. My M17 is a shoulder-buster after about 40-50. I'm not an extremely experienced shooter, so I'm probably not as critical as some may be, but I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm taking both rifles out to Colorado this Fall for a deer hunt.
Cheers,
Dave
