i for one was one of those that blasted him, I read his comments as a member on (AR15.com) and i was highly aggitated at being labeled a 'terrorist' simply for owning and enjoying three of the 'evil rifles'. I do not feel sorry for Mr Z, perhaps he should've thought and spoken more carefully before he attacked so many gun owners with his anti gun rhetoric. HCI is enjoying his lil speech and will use it to there utmost gain and Mr Z should be punished for putting us that position, considering he has a very high profile soapbox and is in a position to be very influential. Bottom line is, he should've known better, and afterwards, dont give a half a**ed appology and blame it on a long hunting day. Good riddance Mr Z. tom

why are you so consumed with what others have and if they are legal or not?? you should not be drawing attention to someone elses property with references to legalities. if you support the ridiculous 922r law, then follow it to a T, otherwise dont worry so much about what others do with their own weapons or atleast ask them in a PM.. **edit** perhaps i jumped the gun and was a bit zealous in my post to you but some things are better said in a private manner rather than on an open forum, thats all..thanks tom

I spoke with them personally last week(as i stated on here) and they told me in no uncertain terms that the 11707 version of the M4 is "NO LONGER BEING MARKETED TO CIVILIANS, MILITARY AND POLICE ONLY"thats a direct quote. The same was said about the adjustable stocks , they are no longer allowed to be marketed to civilians. Supposedly those rules were already in efffect and the ones that were on the market are the only ones out there. I spoke to the CS rep for 8 mins about these topics and the current state of affairs..well the next day a poster on here stated that he had spoken with Benelli CS and they had toild him the opposite about the 11707 but the same about the stocks, so in fact, who knows?? The CS i spoke with was very upset about the matter and suggested that i contact my congressional rep and make my feelings known. The point of that is that he was very upset with the current trend and felt as if ATF was trying to run them out of civilian market so apparently he had to have some extensive knowledge but im just repeating what i was told..2 answers in 2 days from Benelli CS..so again, who knows?

thanks, im pretty happy with it, would've been much easier with a plastic one but the metal one is all i had and couldnt find another one locally but it worked out ok...glad i seen yours, i didnt think it possible till i seen how you worked it out and its a major improvement as far as not scorching my fingers..appreciate the advice on it.

heres a pic of the steel heat shield i put on my M4 . i was inspired by a pic i seen on here of one installed on another M4. This was a pain in the butt for me, alot of lil fitting and trimming and sanding and refitting etc etc..hardest part was TRYING to not mar or scratch the finish on the gun. The park on these are tough but not scratch proof and i kept the scratches to a minimum and i think its goin to work out just fine...its rock solid.

How can 2 people receive two different sets of information in two days?? i also spoke to them yesterday as i reported earlier and i was told exactly the opposite concernig the 11707 by a CS person that was 'in the know'..so what gives?? does anyone including Benelli really know??

thanks for your 20 yrs as well..but contrary to what most people think, according to latest FBI crimes statistics, 'high powered assault weapons' were used in less than 1% of violent crimes comitted in the US..as for the pattern, at 10-20 ft id rather have 9-12 pellets flying in a tight pattern with knockdown punch rather than a high speed bullet that will over penetrate and under expand..just something to think about..as for your neighbors, just glad i dont live beside of ya..hahah

i bought my M4 in the summer and it only had the choke tube in the barrel and i called my dealer and he called Benelli and was told that on several shipments of the guns the choke tubes had been left out by mistake..well i had my 4 additional tubes in 3 weeks..(4 b/c i bought 2 M4's at the time) so i got mine, if you purchased recently, id be callin and letting them know bout it.

it is the all metal type and i actually got the rear on but then couldnt get the front to go down on the barrel w/o scratchin it all to h**l, so ive given up for now until i can think of another way...i actually beleive that it will fit and fit good if i could just get it w/o scratchin everything..your gun looks great with it on there and id like it on mine but i know yours is plastic, so i might have to go that route..

inspired indeed..lol btw, got that heat shield and havin a terrible time attempting to install it w/o scratching the park finish off of everything..i got one for the mossy 500/590 all metal and its tight. ..hopefully ill get er to fit w/o ruining something

i was on hold for 20 mins today with Benelli, i had questions answered finally..here they go 1. Benelli will no longer be selling the 11707 version of the M4 to the public, military and police ONLY 2. The telescoping stocks are same as 11707, they will also no longer be sold to the public, military and police ONLY 3. I know a guy that runs an FFL out of his home and he has 3 THREE of the telescoping stocks in stock but hes also selling them for $375 PLUS SHIPPING..hes sold 15 in the last 3 weeks or so, thats alot of money for one but if you want to pay it, i might can get one for ya, just let me know.. so there you have it, straight from my talks with a benelli rep today..

'expensive gun safe magnet'...?? wtf ?? the M4 is the smoothest, fastest shooting shotgun out there and the fun factor is HIGH! 'for home protection give me a mini-14 and a couple high cap mags'....again, wtf?? ever heard of over penetration?? 5.56 travels thru drywall real good, so here you are blazing away at mr bad guy and you actually shoot your family members 3 rooms away or even your neighbors in the next house! Not sure what you have against M4's but they are far superior to the mini-14 in most CQB situations for which they were designed. Just stick around here and you might learn a few things.

im aware of the 'ir' regardless and the lil shortcuts like IMO, LMK, b-sure etc and all the improper words and usages but its the 'net', so i use alot of shortcuts and 'wrong' words and slang..lol

i appreciate the info! Im gonna locate me a cpl heat shields and see what i can do with mine. i have a shield from a 590 but its aluminum and would'be so easy to fit i wouldnt think but your guns look great with those on there...thanks tom

'HOGWILD', i just dont get you, i post a for sale ad and you feel the need to chime in on MY ad and mislead people by pointing them to a website that in fact did NOT sale the same item as i was. I clearly stated that i paid that same amount for the item and was recovering my expense and yet you want to act holier than thou b/c i was askin that price. Someone calls ya on the carpet for hi-jacking a thread and you get all defensive and attack him for selling items at a price that you dont like or cant afford apparently. Bottom line is this, i didnt have to pay that high price for the tube, BUT I DID! Those other people that bought his item didnt have to pay that high price, BUT THEY DID! its a free market society and for you to act like if you had those items that you would've given them away or sold them below cost is hypocritical at best, b/c no-ones arm was twisted to buy anything. Not sure if you wanted a tube and couldnt get one or what your 'issue' is but irregardless, your arrogance is unneeded and unfounded, so plesae dont hi-jack another thread of mine...thank you

i wont have a bit of trouble selling this for the $225 price, ive already turned down a $200 offer. Ive also already stated that i am not one of those that buy low and sell sky high, im simply recoverin what i paid for it. This is a great price compared to the ones that have sold for over $300 and its supply and demand, if you want it, buy it, if you dont want it, dont buy it! I cant understand people that buy the worlds best shotgun and then skimp on a dollar and keep the ugly, govt mandated limiter?! At the time i bought this, the price was right for me and it will be for another buyer as well no matter how long it takes. The next buyer will be as happy with it as i was.

Ishmael YES, you can remove the barrel w/o removing the extension, you simply unscrew the mag tube cap and lift the barrel straight off and the extension stays in place **EDITED** can someone else answer this question to be 100% sure?? i only had the tube on/off one time and i forgot about the piston area sliding over the bulge in the tube..i just dont know for sure b/c i took everything a part as i went b/c i was putting a factory full tube on the gun. thanks for any help tom

i have the 11707, will that shield fit that model and where did you get that?? is it made for another brand of gun?? is it held in place at the rear of the shield by pressure instead screws etc??? thanks...looks good too

fortunately 'hogs' post and perhaps his attempt to undermine my thread is unsuccessful b/c the mag extensions of which he is referring to is not the same that i am selling. Anyone that has or is familiar with M4's know that the price im asking is below what some where selling for a few weeks back and even now. There is no doubt in anyones mind that i paid that same price for this extension and therefor wouldnt be trying to gouge soemone else. I have this item for sale on several other websites and it will sale, there is just not enuff of these out there. I wasnt happy with payin that price for it but i needed and wanted it, so i did it, everyone else has that same option, buy it or dont buy it. I also think its inappropriate for someone to post a lower price in someone's WTS add, even if the intentions were not malicious..he should've started a new thread!

back in the summer i got TWO of the M4 11707's NIB for $1050 EACH and the collapsing stocks for $150 each, everything was brand new and perfect. Have $1200 in the baddest shotgun in the world which is a bit less than my old M1 Super 90 tactical cost..oh and i had to drive about 1 hr to pick them up..i wouldve walked to get em tho!

****SOLD****I have a factory Benelli M4 2 shot extension for sale, its grey parkerized and is as new. I purchased the extension bout 4 months ago and then found a factory full length tube so i put that on my gun so im selling the 2 shot ext. Price is $225 SHIPPED and im not tryin to gouge anyone, i got gouged when i bought it b/c thats exactly what i had to pay for it. i guess the rule of supply and demand applies b/c i wanted it bad enuff to pay that and what it added to the shotgun made it worth it to me. seen several of them on the various gun sites and i think i even seen one or two over on egay but check gunbroker.com auction arms.com gunsamerica.com and AR15.com in the equipment exchange section...guarantee out of those sites you'll find most anything you need, prices will vary from $185 to $250 depending on the seller but it all comes down to supply and demand but i paid $150 for mine at time of purchasing the M4....good luck

Im looking for upgrades/accessories for my M4 but im having difficulties. I have an M1 and have had no problem finding tons of items to swap out on the M1 but there appears to be virtually nothing for the M4 (11707). I alreday have the full factory tube and adjustable stock but id like a new handguad with rails and a light system and anything else to make it a more tactically superior weapon. Any ideas?? and why is it that some of the extra's wont fit the 11707 version? thanks in advance tom in tn
