  1. I tend to agree as well but since I don't like clamps on barrels and prefer a fast takedown for cleaning/servicing, a dedicated forend light would be ideal for me. Keep it lightweight, LED head, with a similar appearance to the OEM handguards and I will buy 2. I won't hold my breath that this will happen but I'll wait and see. Stranger things have happened...
  2. Hi all, I have an M3S90 that I would like to put a shell holder on the side of the receiver. Preferably a Mesa Tactical but I do not see any listed that will work. I do not have the top of the receiver drilled and tapped, and would prefer to keep it that way (rifle sights). Can I use the non-railed shell holder for the M1/M2? Any input would be greatly appreciated and as always thank you in advance!
  3. Anybody ever try one of these on an M3S90? I hate the set up I have now (Blackhawk stock cheakpad/shell carrier).
  4. Group, I am currently running a Mesa Tactical 8-shot shell holder on top of my M4 and have a Eotech 553 on top of that. Recently while at the range, the holder came off, shells & Eotech still secured. Upon inspection, I noted the threads in the receiver are stripped, and several screws are missing. So my questions are these: 1) Can I retap the the holes, and if so what is the thread pitch & fastener type; and 2) What can I do to prevent this from happening again? Thanks for your help all!
  5. I, too, was thinking around $3500.00 as well. I figured what with the increased value of the collapsible stocks & the fact that these aren't cheap anyways, I would be safe at that number. Thanks for the input, everyone. And the $10.00 offer? Here ya go: http://www.redplanettoys.com/lg_wp_modern_1.html The one at the bottom left. That should about cover the cost of an M4!
  6. Group, I have an M4 (M11017 I believe) that I purchased new in 2006. The gun has a low round count (100 or so) with the following options/upgrades: - Factory collapsible stock (attached) - Factory pistol grip stock - Meprolight Tritium sights - Mesa Tactical 8-shot shell holder w/rail - SOCOMGuy full length magazine tube - GG&G enlarged bolt release - GG&G extended bolt handle - Streamlight rail adaptor for weapon light I am curious as I am upgrading my insurance policy to cover my firearms & this was one I wasn't quite sure of. Thanks in advance for everyone's help!
  7. So the tube is on; wasn't too difficult as long as a heat gun is handy. Threaded on without a hitch, and I now have a non-neutered M4 now. WooHoo! BTW, a definite thumbs up on Penguin81; very pleasant, congenial, and above all HONEST. I overpaid him by $40.00 after the crisp $20.00 bills stuck together & he called me back to return the money. Plus he gave me his 3-day passes to the Dulles Show this weekend (which of course I passed on to other folks rolling in to the show once I was done). That in my book elevates him to Numero Uno. By with confidence if he happens to sell anything else.
  8. Resurecting an old thread here! I'm curious about how the conversion has worked out a year or so later. Is it any more difficult to shoot? feed back, please as I am seriously contemplating doing this to my M4. Thanks in advance!
  9. The rail that came with my M4 wouldn't accept an Eotech properly (loose) but was replaced with the Mesa Tactical rail/side "saddle". That has worked quite well, so if nothing else, I'd recommend going with that set up once you get your replacement LaRue mount. the LaRue mounts are virtually indestructible & made extremely well, so hearing of one fail is surprising. Glad to hear they will take care of it for you (as I am not surprised - they are a great company to work with). Good luck!

    GG&G products

The handle & bolt release are, the receiver plate is not (I tried it on mine) as the handle screws on to the receiver and the trigger cut-out on the plate is too narrow. However, Mesa Tactical makes a single point sling attachment that takes the place of the roll pin at the top of the grip. You may want to try that if you are looking for single point sling attachment. FWIW, I have both the GG& bolt release & charging handle & they rock; very useful, indeed.
  11. Good point... at least I'll have something to show with the M4! Of course the wrong t1tty bar, I guess I could... nah, better stop there.
  12. OMG! I guess I shouldn't be surprised, after all, it IS a Benelli! Thanks for the heads up on that info, much appreciated.
  13. Hi all! Looking to see if anyone out there has a line on an extra, standard length barrel for an m4. I am looking to do an SBR conversion, but want to keep my stock barrel for the sake of originality. Anyone have one about? Thanks in advance for your help!
