  1. porting helps with barrel flip a bit. But with shotguns, I don't think it helps with recoil.

I mean what can you afford? How much is your wife going to shoot it? If your going to put thousands of rounds a year though it, I would go with a beretta, browning, or benelli product. If she is going to fire 500 to 1000 rounds a year, a daly, escort, or a "cheaper" gun would be just fine. But if you read other posts on this site, it all boils down to what she is comfortable with.

good luck and let us know

  2. The m2 is a great shot. Lightweight. I had a charles daly once. I loved the way it felt but I had to send it off three times for repair in 6 months, so I sold it to my dad. My dad loves it and hasn't had any problems since. I don't know alot about the 720's. They are gas and they will be lighter recoil than the m2. Have you looked at escort shotguns. http://www.legacysports.com/products/escort/escort_semiauto.html

I've heard good thing about those guns as well. They are in the same range ($) as the charles daly.

  3. If your going to shoot 1 oz loads, It will be a hit or miss. Some people say on this forum that there gun will not cycle 1 oz loads, some say they will. My friends Monty. shoots 1 oz loads all day long.

Like I said hit or miss. I own three novas, but I'm hoping to trade them for an sbeII by the end of the year.

P.S recommended loads for all the benelli autos is 1 1/8

  4. I don't know but the for the nova, 249 in cabelas. My opinon, buy an 870 slug, or something close to it. I have a slug barrel for my nova but... is it really worth it. I paid 299 for the nova in the first place.

    good luck

  5. I have 3 Nova's, a 28 inch black 12 gauge, 24 inch camo 12 gauge and a 26 inch black 20 gauge. Love em all! No problems at all. Easy to clean. Easy to shoot. Love the shell stop, and love the fact you can unload the gun without chambering a round. My 28 inch has the recoil reducer and a limsaver pad which makes it a dream to shoot with mag. loads.

buy the gun and don't look back. have fun.

  6. screw the screws into the bracket first, then place the bracket in the stock, then use the screws to pull the bracket to the inside of the stock. Finally, carefully unscrew the screws from the bracket and set the pad on the gun and CAREFULLY screw in the pad.

Hope this helps. It only took me 3 mins after I did it this way.
