  1. What a great way to end the season Thanks Benelli!
  2. yep doin good Dad still a ways to go.........
  3. Being Head Retriever he was happy to supervise my retrieve from shore at one point he came out to check on me......
  4. We don`t usually get many Whitefronts so that was kind of cool. It landed 3 feet from the layout after I crushed it but the Honkers were landing out on the ice when I shot them feet down backpedaling just the way I like `em! Max busted his way out to the one that was flopping.... but the other one was just laying there........ he went about halfway before giving up and coming back
  5. Just happy to see some clouds block out that evil warm blob in the sky that`s been enticing the geese to bask in it`s glory all day the last two weeks. Had some fog that stuck around yesterday throughout most of the morning, got a Honk and a Spec. Sailed the Honker, was a glorious chase, Max got to tackle it then wrestle it down and get a grip and bring it in head up. The Spec made it across the field going down and died in the air. Max watched it the whole way, took a mark and when I sent him he went right to it. Set up in a different spot today since they`re not really using the fields lately thanks to the warm weather and had some decoying birds, much better goose crushing action when they work right in.
  6. sorry....two seasons..... here`s what I`m talking about
  7. Nice birds, love those Cans only shot 2 ever. Love Pintails too, you ever notice in the old Ducks at a Distance book it shows a mature Pintail as bigger than a Mallard? Interesting Anyway it was snowing in the predawn as I set up but then gave way to partly cloudy all day, very few geese flying. I did get one to come in though I`d upload a pic of it except I MISSED IT arrrrrgggggh how do you miss something that big? Goose fever strikes hard I guess
  8. Ya know, I was looking at it in the rack today and it doesn`t even touch the black part on top it sits just behind the receiver at the narrow part of the grip so I have no logical explanation for why it shows so much wear after one season American series..........does that one shoot two feet high too? Good thing it goes boom boom boom everytime I pull the trigger. Now if I can just remember to keep my head down cheek on the stock
  9. Nice I like to say "for these......the migration is over.........now migrate into my stomach!" Dog`s name is Max btw Hey! That`s where all those Pintail I got covered up with after I shot my T-W-O got off to....... good thing we can only shoot T-W-O because obviously there aren`t very many left
  10. Saw that one thanks tucker but lookin for Max 4
  11. Just curious if anyone has an idea what the going rate is for a Non Comfortech SBE II Max 4 stock? My local dealer moves a lot of guns and they`re always 5 guys deep at the counter with 45 minute transactions and I really don`t feel like spending 2 hours at the gun store just yet. Also if anyone knows where to get one or has one for sale I`d appreciate it. Looked around online and found only one for $165 Does that sound about right? Good deal? Thanks
  12. my brother likes to chase the webfoots too.....
  13. At least you fired a shot we had two, no shots fired, no-fly days this weekend! Our problem is the stupid sun came out and the geese are just happily nappin the day away. Hopefully that`ll change with some snow next week. We were doing good up until last week Thanks for the pics guys, here`s a few....... have a good rest of the season (or hope you had a good season if your`s is closed)
  14. Um, yeah, exactly why I`m here. The top is showing wear from being in my gun rack in my truck. It is also flaking, and the holes in the sides of the comb are proving to be nice entry points for water when wading or hunting in the snow. I didn`t like it when I bought it and now I really don`t! Nice gimmic....maybe on a trap gun...don`t need/want it on a duck/goose gun. Also, while I`m on it it sticks to my coat when I slide it up to my shoulder just prior to popping out of my layout....just like I knew it would Anybody know where to get a NON!-Comfortech Max 4 stock for a SBE II?
  15. 2 boxes of 3" 1 1/8 oz #4`s through my SBE II No problems More dead ducks/less cripples for me. Probably try the 1 1/4 oz next year. So far I like them 1st one I touched off my brother flinched and said HOLY CRAP WHAT WAS THAT! I looked at him and said "that" is a dead duck. I don`t notice any more kick than any other 3" shell
  16. I believe the Primos Dead Zone tubes have been discontinued? Which sucks because yes they are good tubes I like them. I`ve had the decoy for a while now and just went through hours of searching to find the pass model. The place I got it from split a double pack so they may still have the decoy SBE II pm me & I`ll give the contact info I have otherwise hope you have better luck finding them than I did, though, I did succeed oh, and 1 local gun shop has/had the decoy also actually I just looked and they have it listed on gunbroker and auctionarms as well as a double pak get em while you can........once they`re gone they`re gone?
  17. FOR ME?????????????? awwwwwwwwww you shouldn`t have I`ll PM ya with my shipping address.......... Those are VERY VERY nice!
  18. Wow That is some great information and EXACTLY what I was looking for. Thank you I`ve been noticing powder residue and marsh trophies (cattail fluff, tiny seeds etc.) around the recoil spring plunger when I cleaned the gun the last couple of times and was thinking to myself "that`s getting down in there" I bought a used 1187 Supermag a few seasons back that was a single shot and when I pulled the spring it looked like nobody had EVER done this often overlooked maintenence.
