B&C entries are great but at the end of the day what makes a 170" typical so much better than a 169 incher? Regardless of the score that is a great deer- congrats! My biggest to date (archery) scored 148 net- we just don't grow 'em as big down here in Bama. Although I have gotten close to a couple that were solid 160 class deer- one of which might have gone B&C. Sigh...... that's why they call it "bowhunting" and not "bowkilling". What state do you hunt in?

I figured someone would get around to asking that question..... I will have to wait until I actually get the switch and look at it up close, but I am planning on cutting off the lower picatinny rail grabbing ledges on the bottom. I am hoping this will give me a some what flat surface on the back of the switch to use hook and loop (velcro) tape to mount it on the forward part of the hand grip. Using velcro I will be able to remove it for disasembly/ cleaning, etc. This will probably be on the right side of the gun as seen from the butt.

Mind numbing? Yes indeed, but if you really want a migraine you should try reading some of the tax code. If I was elected president (god help us!) the first thing I would do is first get rid of the income tax as we know it today- think flat tax based on income or maybe a sales tax. This would in effect greatly simplify tax law. The second thing would be to bring down the hammer on the DOJ to do away with outdated federal laws, re-write the ones that are left in plain English, and most importantly JUSTIFY the laws in effect. And then I would halt all state allotted money coming out of DC until all the states did the same. For example, can anyone tell me how the whole 922r subject serves the common good/safety? The only reason I can figure that it even exists is- A: the ATF is over stepping their authority and grabbing power B: there is some shady back-room lobbying going on (trace the money, the money will lead you to the truth) For the sake of argument let's say I want to install a "banned" stock on my gun- if it is illegal to put an imported one on there, how in the world can it be legal to put on an American made one?!!!!! Did anybody with common sense and knowledge of tactics/guns (an absolute requirement for writing gun laws, period) write this? Hmmmm...... Maybe- What I am thinking about is making my own- I have a TIG welder, that, and with some aluminum tubing/plate/bar stock, lots of determination and elbow grease, just might be enough. And I it would be exactly what I want. I would be the coolist kid on the block! The only problem would be that if it turned out ok people would be beating down my door wanting me to make more. Thanks Andy, Good info- Unless I am wrong our US made barrels do not have serial numbers. It seems like over kill to me. It would take a lot of work and skill to fabricate a "receiver" to add to a barrel to make it function as a firearm. How is jolly old England these days? I have not spent near as much time there as I have in some other countries but I did manage to get in a couple of nights of pub hopping in London! Sigh..... I can still taste the Guinness. Yes, after a couple hundred rounds with no hiccups I do love it. (except for the sore shoulder!) Sweet shooting, fast handling, nice balance, great sights (will be even better when the trits arrive), moderate recoil, the whole package just feels "right". What's not to love? And to set the record straight- your's is only temporarily more evelier (is that even a word?) than mine. On that note, where are your pic rails/tac light/laser sight/assorted widgets? Nope, they are definitely serial numbers- Y016457 on the receiver and TM20294 on the barrel. Anyway it would be illegal to even get it into the country and to the dealer if it did not at least have a serial # on the receiver. Hark.... is that the pitter-patter of little ATF feet running to check their databases? I will save you some time and trouble- I bought my M4 at Simmons sporting goods in Bessemer, Alabama- as for my name, date of birth, political leanings, sexual preference, favorite color etc., well.... you are just going to have to work for them! Does anybody know why the M4 barrel is serialized? (different barrel # from the receiver #) I have never seen this and the dealer I bought it from said the same thing.
