  1. So what you are saying is that YOU PERSONALLY could not shoot the AR as accurately as you shoot the MR1. That I will buy, but I don't buy that the MR1 is more accurate.

Well I guess ones definition of "shoot accurate" is the tie breaker here. Out of the box to someone with experience with neither the MR1 will make the AR look silly. If you compare experts on the same weapons sure they will learn to shoot what they have great but the MR1 is more naturally more accurate by design not shooting style or expertise.

  2. I do see your point though. Either way, Dodge killing the Viper=fail. Now I will have to buy a Z06 for my 25th birthday present and slap a cam and LT's on it to have a viper equivalent.

Have you ever driven a Viper the way you sit drives me crazy. And you are giving the Viper too much credit it wouldn't take more than simple tune ECM & TM on a Z06 to surpass one.

  3. Benelli is to Beretta what the SRT is to Dodge :p

SRT (Street Racing Technology) to Dodge is way different because it is just a division of Chrysler that modifies existing models. Sticking with the MOPAR theme Benelli is to Beretta as Dodge is to Mercedes Benz.

  4. Care to post your 1/2 MOA 10-shot groups and prove it?

With my original MR1 that I sold here with the small rear apperature I could shoot clays sitting on a 2x4 @ 125yds. The same sights yielded no compensation for barrel to sight axis at 25yds. My AR was by no means the best but S&W was no joke and I could out shoot that thing all day long. The only thing I miss about my AR was the case deflector, not that they hit me but they leave nice little kisses on the reciever.

  5. Benelli was a motorcycle company before they started making shotguns. Pretty cool. Just like GM used to make guns to. Maybe they should start again. Oh wait. Obama owns GM.

When did GM make guns WWI, they did have one **** of a appliance line up back in the day though.

  6. I don't think they use the same stuff you can get called "gun-tite" or whatever. I think it is proprietary, but I have not inquired about it so have no sure evidence.

Actually most companies use proprietary liquid fastener locks. Companies like loc-tite & Permatex usually still make them but all of there standard products are still based on the same numbering system.

  7. Thats kind of what I was getting to but figured further explaination was a bit much. When it comes to barrels be it centerfire rifles or shotguns the heat treatment is much more important than crio treatment.

To me it's kind of like companies selling tires that increase gas mileage but not telling you how they do it. To those who know it's easy to see that they are just looking for a sucker.

When it comes down to it the plastic trigger guard on the M2 is as much reason not to buy it as crio treated parts is a reason to buy it.

  8. Now do you see why we get irritated when everyone whines about "deforming their reciever" or "I'm scared" or whatnot with regards to the mag-tube?

The recoil tube--from what I have heard--is worth fretting over though.

Why get irritated it's their choice although if your melting or deforming a M4 reciver with a heat gun you got some skills. But then again some people don't care one way or the other and throw on $100 aftermarket tubes so go figure.

I musta say if and when I install my OE Benelli 7 shot tube I will be using the same green loc-tite the factory does.

  9. All the barrel talk is nonsense I could hand you a crio treated barrel and one that isn't and you couldn't tell me which was which. When it comes to M1 vs M2 barrels all one need to worry about is fixed choke vs interchangeable to be quite honest I prefer a fixed.

As for build quality besides a plastic trigger guard on the M2 versus the M1's steel one whats left to be built better?

  10. who's this "we" you speak of? UNO and i are still waiting to see the pics of the busted up benelli anodizing machine.:D

Any M4 that was built withing the last batch has a off colored reciever I have seen four so far at four different locations and all were seperated by 100+ miles. It's kinda like the batch that used CD coded recievers with CA coded barrels.

  11. Do you keep anything?

I am 30 and since 16 i've had 34 different cars, 2 different sportbikes and 3 different trucks. Cars and guns are my hobby so it's what ever keeps me entertained. Oh well either look the same when I sell them as when I bought them so at least I can offer up some deals.

  12. Saying there is no use for 3 1/2 is saying there is no use for 3's. 2 3/4 inch shells killed everything before both came along.

My friend shoot everything he hunts with a 20 gauge. He says there is no reason for a 12 gauge.

Well he was using shell size as a basis for which gun to choose not if one is better than the other.

Also my M4 is my HD weapon not a rabbit gun so the 20ga vs 12ga is a moot point.

  13. Truthfully there is no need to use 3.5" shells just use a really good 3" then you can kill all your birds with one stone. Too bad your a member of the lefty squad or I could make you a deal on my M2 tactical I have for sale here.

  14. If you do I will be selling off my stash of ammo soon so if your interested please PM me. I would post it up but selling large quantities of ammo can cause a ruckus and is hard to keep track of first come first serve.

It is all Winchester and ranges from WWB range ammo to HD stuff.
