Oh no he di-in't. Wait, what? I don't even get that ...
The only good thing about a DI AR15 is it's ruggedness, my MR1 does anything my S&W AR did but better. Sure if were talking combat situation I'd take the M4 but only because of parts availability.
As for my comment the MR1 uses a modular plastic forend/handguard with the sight in it. I would assume if you had to introduce it to someones face it might break.
-
I am so over this gun. I bought a RRA AR15 and am happy with the decision.
The only plus to an AR versus an MR1 is that you could hit someone with it and still have a front sight.
-
The barrels and magazines are coated and the reciver is anodized, as for barrel length the longest out there is the 18" they come with.

You may want to check yourself cody.
The M1/M2 series do not perform reliably once accessories are added to them... such as; light, extended mag, optics, side saddle, etc. Due to their design, additional weight (more than a single accessory) may cause them to cycle unreliably. Period
M4 will cycle with multiple accessories, additional weight does not affect this weapon as it does the M1/M2. Period
If someone anticipates adding one (single) accessory to their Benneli then the M1/M2 will work for them. As soon someone anticipates adding two or more accessories then the more reliable platform would be the M4. End of story.
I own both.
You might also want to " check yourself " as you just responded to a thread that hasn't seen action for almost a year. With that being said I've also owned both and I will still never bag on the M2T.
Sure the ID system is a bit more picky than the ARGO but I don't throw all the tacticool **** on my guns so i'll take either.
-
US military uses the 18" on standard M4's butI'm sure they and other militaries also use the 14" in some situations. The 18" and 14" will both cycle decent ammunition the same. And you cannot use a folding stock on any Benelli semi-autos.

Can anyone tell me what the shot accuracy of this is out to say 600 yards?
You aren't serious are you?

hey Cody, did you notice in this listing he says the barrel is super nice to new??
it looks like this barrel had been thrown down a mine shaft and then run over by a tractor!!
a real BEAUTY?????
I noticed that........

If you can deal with a bead sight or **** ghost rings and don't mind having to oil down an entire gun the 590 will fit the bill. Sure both fill the need for a SG but the Supernova is much more refined.
-
Here is the response from Benelli:
EPA has put a hold on the cleaning kit importation and the chemicals it comes with.
What a lame joke, then again Benelli/Beretta's oil is responsible for 75% of the pollution here in the states.

i dont hunt CODY, therefore the shorter tactical shotgun the better. a 14" barrel is much better for a defense SG than the 18". much easier to swing around indoors. cause you dont need long range 100yd shots for a tactical SG. its for close quarters which is all i want it for. for outside i'd use my m4. the shorter SG the better. but thats just my needs a wants. TS
Me neither (with my M4 at least), not to mention I also live outside of town meaning my first line of defense is me, myself and I. After owning several configurations it's safe to say that 4" off the barrel end alone doesn't turn a SG into a CQB master key.
Sure I would prefer a SG at all times when it comes to indoor situations. But if you need to manuver through several rooms especially with family members you need a weapon you can move and use with one hand.

Beretta Holding Co., the Beretta family, own Benelli, Franchi, Stoger, Uberti & a few other gun Cos. All of these guns are made in different factorys, some not in Italy. A big sales pitch that is used in a lot of sport shops when selling Franchi's & Stoger's is "It is made by Benelli."
I shake my head every time I hear "it's made by Benelli" or see it written on the tag. It's the same story at tire shops that push lesser brands as built by Company "X" when they are just owned by Company "X".

I still don't understand this short barreled shotgun fad what so ever.
-
I'd be very interested in seeing how much fouling you have on the gas piston when you tear it down for cleaning.
The piston wipes clean with a rag but the guide rod usually gets a clump of carbon on it.
-
It might be tight, but it just unscrews. A padded vice might help a lot. Or two people if it is really tight.
With how tight all of the M4 stocks are that I have seen a 10 year old girl could unscrew one.

I cannot comment on who you dealt with but can say that shipping these days is just another way to make a profit.

Given the cheap stuff will work fine Federal Truball slugs are perfect for a fixed choke gun like the SNT.

Uh oh........................
-
Two things stick out to me:
1- The wood in the picture looks very weird especially when you invert the colors.
2- Whats up with the barrel retaining nut?
I'm not pointing any fingers and could be totally wrong too.
-
I've found the steel tubes are more likely to dent.
When used as a bat...........

Well Beretta finally made a tactical model of there field guns called the TX4. Just figured i'd mention it beings that Benelli & Beretta are all one big happy family. Not my cup of tea but I am sure someone will see it as a must have.

I got a steady grip stock for my SBE for Christmas. It didn't come with a recoil pad or butt plate. Does anyone know where I can get a pad that will fit? I really don't want to have to grind one. I did a search and in an old thread, someone said to use a Limbsaver 10401. I checked it out, and it is too long. So far, I've looked at all the aftermarket pads and have found nothing that fits. Any advice would be appreciated.
What do you mean by butt plate?

only manufacture i know of that measures true .730 is mossberg. remington is .715 or less . its different for each
All that is dependent on what the barrel is statically choked to, some are Imp. cylinder while others are cylinder and some are even modified.
Has anyone else seen the new Benelli Mr1?

Close to any other .223 with a 16" barrel.
