  1. Hey StrangerDanger, One more SideArmor rail question: how does it seem to treat the guns finish where it comes in contact. BTW congrats on receiving your new tube. I just placed my order to Kip last night. Hookster
  2. decisions, decisions I guess I'm in for a couple months of deep contemplation and trial & error (looking forward to it though) I'll post results as things progress. Thanks Again for all the great info I think it's already saving me some steps
  3. the "easy to knock off" part doesn't sound too good. Here's another mount I found on the Magpul site you can use with the standard tape switch http://www.magpul.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=76&products_id=221
  4. Your right I did misunderstand. Thanks for the link thats what I'm looking for but I might go with the rail mount switch here: http://www.surefire.com/Remote-Dual-Switch-for-WeaponLight-SR07 and do something similar to Infidel's switch placement but I'll wait till I have the SideArmor set up on the gun and do some playing around with some of the tac lights and switches I have for my ARs Thanks Again, Hookster
  5. I've been looking at this SureFire Scout: http://www.surefire.com/M620C-ScoutLight It comes with their own throw lever mount which I'm sure would be of good quality like most of their stuff but I'm wondering how it'll do with an out of spec rail. The price is 525. but if it worked fine it would save me paying 400+ for the LaRue on top of the price of a LED Scout. Anyone with any experience with a SureFire throw lever mount? Hookster
  6. Thanks for all the great pics. I think I'm going to get the SureFire Scout as well and then play around with the switch mounting and location. Question: Did you get the LaRue light mount because of a problem with the SureFire mount (either the thumbscrew or throw lever) working well on the SideArmor rail? Thanks, Hookster
  7. Thanks StrangerDanger, I enjoyed your previous detailed review of the SideArmor rail. How did things go with the mounting of the switch for the SureFire Scout go? Any Pics?
  8. I'm thinking of ordering the sidearmor rail system but I notice they list it as being for M4/1014 does anyone have first hand experience putting one on a 11707 or know any reason that there would be a fit issue? Thanks, Hookster
  9. I recently ordered a 5.5mm wrench to install my meprolights through Amazon for $5.45 Here's the link to it. http://www.amazon.com/Wiha-Metric-Wrench-5-0mm-5-5mm/dp/B000IBOOBM They shipped it right away. A 7/32 wrench also fits but the 5.5mm fits better. If you have a local Sears you can get one there but you have to buy a whole set of ignition wrenches for $19.95. They don't sell them seperately.
  10. FYI I recently needed a new spring for my M1S90 with a +3 extension. Sure Cycle sold me the spring alone that goes with their +3 for $15. Works great!
  11. That seems pretty strange, You weren't able to adjust them to a zero without bottoming out the elevation adjustment? I was wondering why the front sights have the additional side to side adjustment with the little marks when the windage adjustment is on the rear sight?
  12. Thanks Alisske, I'll give that size a try when the sights arrive. I was thinking of using a little blue LocTite also for good measure.
  13. Hey All, I will be switching sights on my M1S90 to some Meprolights. I was wondering if anyone knows the proper size wrench for the small nut that secures the front post? I assume it's metric. Thanks in advance. Hookster
  14. this DSA one looks like "stubs" on the top and 1913 on the side rails http://www.dsarms.com/Benelli-M4-Quad-Rail-Handguard/productinfo/BT21353/
  15. click on this http://www.meprolight.com/default.asp?catid=%7B61963421-C6A2-4076-8851-18AC2265EC5E%7D I just ordered a set for my M1S90
  16. There are a lot of choices out there these days. Do you know if you want to go flat top or carry handle? railed front end or standard handguards? Do you want to run optics on it? My latest upper that I bought is a Smith and Wesson M&P 15T flat top with Troy Industries quad rail 1/9 barrel since I usually shoot 55gr PMC etc. I'm very happy with it.
  17. Hey Trooper Numrich has the chokes (IC,Mod and Full) in stock and the wrench as well. Here's the link http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chrMasterModel=4150zM1%20SUPER%2090%20MILITARY%20AND%20POLICE&MC=
  18. I downloaded a manual from this link: http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/BENELLI/M1%20SUPER%2090-_E It's free
  19. Hey Huklbrry, Here's a link with some good info http://forums.officer.com/showthread.php?t=81462
  20. As long as you buy an assembled upper receiver that would be all you need. If it didn't come with its own bolt carrier and charging handle you can just use your existing ones. Do you have a particular brand/configuration in mind?
  21. No Problem, just pop out the 2 pins and put on a new upper assembly pop the pins back in. Less than a minute, good to go. I have several uppers and a couple lowers and switch stuff up all the time. If you have a very old AR before they had the detent loaded pin in front you might need an offset pin up front
  22. Anyone out there with first hand experience with a SureFire forend and an extended mag at the same time? Problems? Thanks
  23. Hey Jantonio, I'm a lifelong shooter but Benelli noob. I just picked up the same setup. M1 tactical 18" with pistol grip stock and extension. If I add a SureFire weaponlight forend am I likely to run into cycling problems running Remington 2 3/4 00 if I stick with the stock spring?
