  1. Finished installing the new full length mag. Special thanks to @SOCOMguy for providing the mag and @StrangerDanger for the detailed instructions on install.
  2. Hi, I have an M4 H2O. I bought a 7 round mag tube. I wanted to remove and replace the factory 5 round tube. I looked up how-to instructions on YouTube. I started heating the tube with a heat gun, then the receiver. It may be a quick heating job for a black M4, but the coating on the H2O took the heat for 45 mins before I got the tube to start turning. I discolored the finish on the receiver. I read that prolonged heat, while applying force to remove the mag tube, may bend the receiver out of spec. Anyone know how I can make sure I didn't bend the receiver? PS: Robar confirmed that the NP3 Plus dissipates heat, and also confirms that it could have discolored, so I decided to send it for a removal and reapplication of NP3 Plus.
  3. OK, I just bought the Benelli Nova with rifle sites, now what? Well, I think the first thing I'm going to add is a mag tube extension. Anyone heard of or any experience with the Choate Machine and Tool products? Particularly, the Choate Mag Extensions?
  4. Hello, I'm new to the forum. I recently ( a couple of months ago) got my Benelli M4. My brother-in-law was nice enough to give me a Tacstar mag extension tube +2 for the Benelli M4. He's a dealer. I installed it. I was easy to install. I followed the simple instructions to the letter. I believe I installed it correctly. However, I noticed I can only get +1 in the tube, i.e., 6 in the tube (2 3/4 inch shells). Has this been discussed before? Am I missing something simple? It looks like the 7th shell only has about 1/8 inch or so left to go, but try as I might I cannot push it in there. The shell follower hits a stop at the end of the tube and won't go any further, so unless I do not screw it down all the way, I can't get 7 shells in there. Thanks for any help.
  5. I've searched through pages of threads here and I'm sure this information has to exist, but I either missed it or my search skills have failed me this week. I purchased an M2 tactical and I just added a Nordic +3 mag extension. It's very well made and I'm quite impressed with the fit and finish of their machine work. However, they suggest cutting the spring down to be between 10 and 16 inches longer than the mag and extension combined. I started at 18" and worked down to 10" and I am still only able to get 6 and "3/4" rounds of 2 3/4" 12 ga ammo in the tube. I tried both the factory M2 follower and the Nordic teflon coated follower with no change. Will it function with the spring cut down a bit more or am I destined to only get 6+1 in this shotgun? I'm setting up for a 3 gun match and I really needed the additional capacity. Thanks for any input.
