    Dunno who owns it. Most are owned by Carbon Media out of Canada. However, Im really not sure. I’ve asked the question before and I’ve never gotten an answer.

    How do you know it’s Benelli owned?

    If and when one calls Benelli USA one can ultimately talk to one of the three forum mods. Perhaps they hire out the tech aspect and set up of the forum software because whomever set up this forum has forum software savvy which I doubt that Benelli has in-house.

    Administrators here can appoint moderators. It has nothing to do with Benelli. This forum actually has no direct affiliation or ownership by Benelli.

    HOW did you come to this conclusion??  If not Benelli then who do you think owns this forum??

    Benelli would do well to apppoint a regular member with reputation to have low level admin power, honestly.  What a crap shoot.

    a velocity filter would be useful, stopping members/IP from doing more than 2 new posts an hour or something.

    There are some of us who diligently report spam on this forum. It wouldn't take much of anything to assign a staffer (there are three who are forum admins) to monitor their email during a holiday break and deal with the problem in a timely fashion when the spam report emails pour in. This problem of the holiday forum hijacks is only going to get worse in the future if not checked.

  4. Shotgun tactics and usage are much different than pistol or rifle tactics and usage imo. I've never seen the benefit of a detachable mag fed shotgun, only liability, as least for stand alone use with no backup or support. I like to be able to top off the magazine on a shotgun on the fly. IMO detachable mag fed shottys are not nearly as versatile as tube fed mag, if for nothing other than to be able to immediately switch loads.

  5. That's the beauty of the 121M1, it won't run unless you know how to make it run so if a bad guy picks it up without a round in the chamber there will be a hitch in his get-along. There used to be an aftermarket accessory for the 121M1 made by a couple of different vendors, this 'Benelli button' would be installed onto the bolt release button (really slightly extending it with a surface for a purchase), and with a flick of the Benelli button a round would be released from the magazine onto the elevator. Then one could cycle the bolt to bring it into battery. Way cool. Unfortunately if those Benelli buttons are long gone and if you don't already have one installed then you won't have that option and you're stuck with dropping a round into the ejection port. I suggest getting a fabric shell holder slipped onto the stock or one of the velcro shotshell cards on the side of the receiver...gotta have a loose round handy to make it go bang!

    What do y’all suggest I do?

    Try slowing down and being more deliberate with shot placement. What's the point of a high speed mag dump anyway??

    Its actually marked 121M1.   UPDATE

    Great shotgun, unfortunately spare parts (such as wooden buttstock or aftermarket synthetic buttstocks) are non-existent. Benelli quit making the 121M1 like 35 years ago.

    Why? Is the M2 lighter or something? I have never shot or handled the M2 so I am curious about it. I just recently bought the M4 and to be honest it feels pretty light and handles great even when shooting slugs and heavy buck rounds. Thanks!

    M4 = 7.8 lbs

    M2 = 6.7 lbs

    7.8 lbs isn't 'light'.

    I've never seen this happen to any Mossberg 590A1's that are used by the military.  However my unit used the Remington 870 and the Benelli 1014.  What modification is required by a gunsmith to keep this from happening?

    Tap the two pins of the lifter for screws and put small nylon or delrin washers on the pins secured with screws.
