  1. That's a huge load of crap.. really... So many racists.. yet he managed to get elected.. go figure. See, it always comes down to race with you people.. to me it makes you the real racist. I could care less what color he is.. I think he's a craptastic President so far. I didn't like Carter either, does that mean I hate white people? I'm done with this thread.. arguing with lefties is like trying to teach a pig to sing. You only end up frustrating yourself and annoying the pig. Enjoy your choice of President.. I hope the next three years isn't as tragic as the first.. but hey, at least he reads one mean speach.
  2. More or less hate than the left had for Bush? The difference is that if you disagreed with Bush (and there was plenty to disagree with) you weren't called a racist.
  3. I imagine a "Made In USA" stamp will be the advantage. And given the work involved.. I bet they will cost a pretty penny.
  4. Anyone save Panabox's pictures of his modded KZ rail? I might try to duplicate this.. I now have access to a 5-axis mill.. could maybe set it up as a program. Would be easy to mod a group of them at that point. Then would only need to re-coat. I would like to see the pics though.
  5. Wait.. what if it was extensively modified here and then stamped made in USA.. or does it have to come from and official company? Just thinking.. sort of like the bullet button law. If they didn't define what "made in USA" is then why can it be a part made here in the USA from materials from the swiss.
  6. Guess that answers my question.. And actually you need three parts from "the list".. I have two.. need the third.
  7. But it's not made in USA right? So it wouldn't help the 922r stuff..
  8. What idiot company designs a part around a 5.5mm size? You're telling me a 5mm or 6mm wouldn't have worked? Jeeze..
  9. Hmmm.. and I have the Bridgeport just sitting around over at that shop.. Now if we could just get it made out of titanium like Kip's tube..
  10. My understanding is that you need three USA parts.. like the foregrip, mag tube and follower. Two is not enough..
  11. I have a follower on the way and then I guess I HAVE to change my foregrip to be 922r compliant.. pisses me off since I like the factory one just fine, but there's no other parts I can replace with US made ones.
  12. You must of gone to the Del Mar show.. I almost went there. Like I said, I don't know if I would buy the Surefire given its cost, but it was nice to get it in the deal. The best part is I can easily put it on, take it off and transfer it to weapons in just a few seconds. No pressure pads and wires to mess with. The nav lights are cool, nice to have and they use very little power. I take it milling the barrel down is a specialist job.. is there a website for Adco? Milling down the barrel would make it thinner, yes? and wouldn't that effect accuacy to some degree? So is this done just to lose some weight? The barrel on the weapon now is a heavy version from Rock River. Right now the barrel is exactly 16" plus the A2 compensator.. so I guess you're saying cut off the length of the comp and have it pinned to the barrel? My old bushmaster was like that.
  13. A little.. it's not bad, but I would rather have a flip up front sight. The only downside to the Surefire light is weight.. but it's a nice compact unit. Love the CarrierComp tube.. easy to install and great looking. I wish my Benelli finish was as nice as Kip's...
  14. Speaking of my new M1014. My Ti tube showed up from Kip at CarrierComp!! Today elves installed it. I don't why people were so worried about this. The elves told me they stripped the gun, put it in my vise (didn't even ask me if they could use it) and with a set of "soft jaws" they heated up the area for a bit and twisted off the stock tube. I was told there wasn't even any residue. Funny to just come home and find this done to my weapon. Anyways, here are some pics:
  15. Even though I live in this stupid state I had to buy another AR, especially since I got what I think is a great deal. Rock River Arms XM-15. A guy had the whole weapon online for sale but I worked out a deal where he kept the lower and I bought everything else. This made my life easier since I didn't have to "import" the lower into the state which is a PITA. I bought a RRA lower at the gun show for $175 and voila, I had a whole gun. To be legal I had to install the bullet button, but I can convert it back easily if I leave the state. And of course I can only run 10 round mags.. but it's better than nothing and if the SHTF then I can run whatever. The deal also included 5 30-rnd mags which I had shipped to my folks in Texas for safe keeping. Here I have a big box of pre-ban mags and a 100-rnd C-mag.. just in case. Paid $1200 for the weapon so I'm in this for $1400.. not bad considering the Surefire light goes for around $600 on the net. It has two lamps (125 lumen an 250 lumen) and also has LED nav lights. Cool little unit. The Eotech is the lower model one but it works fine. I need to get a flip up rear sight though. I wouldn't pay $600 for the light, but it was pretty much free. Anyone know if the front sight and gas block can be removed and replaced with a gas block/rail deal? That way I could have a flip up front sight as well and won't have to have the irons cowitness with the Eotech. Can a smith do it? Anyways, here it is.. it's a good match up with the M1014 I bought last month. Zombies beware! lol
  16. Do either or both of those stocks have battery storage capability?
  17. Hey, selling an M4 stock on eBay and got this question. My guess is no, but if it's the same as a Super 90 then maybe the M4 pistol grip stock will for a Berretta 1200 FP. Anyone know one way or the other? "would these stocks work on a berretta 1200 fp which is the same as a super 90"
  18. I was at that same show.. couldn't find anyone selling M4 stuff so I bought some AR parts and more ammo. The show was pretty crowded, guess people want to stock up. Thought I would say hey since your a almost a neighbor.
  19. To the top.. open to offers. Stock and extension heading to eBay soon... need to pay for my M4 goodies.
  20. Hmm.. I guess you are right.. it was pointless posting on this board. Thanks!
  21. Again, you're missing the point that the 5.7 round wasn't designed to competed with the 5.56, but instead with the 9mm used in other sub-machine guns. Good luck hunting bear or even dear with a semi-auto MP5.. lol Does that make the civilian MP5 a POS? hmmmm
  22. Which is the only reason I might not get it.. That however doesn't make the weapon a POS (can't blame it for stupid CA gun laws) I doubt agencies would use it for entry and CQB work if it wasn't a good weapon and the round is superior to say 9mm rounds used in many sub-machine guns (like the MP5). Of course that's just my opinion.
  23. And I'm far from an expert on this stuff.. but I found this interesting.. So it weighs half as much as 9mm.. has less recoil and in the case of the military version can penetrate soft body armor. Keep in mind that the round was designed to compete against all the pistol-caliber sub machine guns in use. It wasn't designed to be a mainline battle rifle, but instead more of a CQB deal. So yea, it's better than a 9mm.. Can a 9mm do this?
