  1. +1 I got mine in 5 weeks as well, but it would have been worth waiting longer.
  2. Thats nice man! I prefer Marpat myself, but that looks SWEET!
  3. I checked with Acme Sports in Indiana (not sure where you're located) for ya. They have the 20160 (PG model) in stock, but not the 20155. He said they could order one for $489, but would have to check with their sales rep to get an ETA.
  4. Dunno if Florida Marine ever got one? But Impact does seem to follow through. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/23649-And-the-wait-begins/page3 I know a couple people that have ordered stuff from ImpactGuns before, and even if there was a wait like they advise, they do get it.
  5. This must be accurate. Acme Sports in Indiana had the 14" Entry w/ collapsible stock model (11724) listed on subguns, so I called them about 5 (?) weeks ago and they "had gotten multiple in". I jumped on it (like you, this will be my second after the 11707)! The form 3 transfer only took about a month and it got to my dealer early this week. He's sending out my paperwork in the next couple days, so I'm just now starting the long wait. Please let us know how awesome it is as a shorty when you get your stamp and can take it home!!!!

    Sidearmor Mod 3

I really like it. I was going to order the Mod2, but saw the attachments listed for the new one, so I waited until it was listed. They're really nice people to deal with. When the mod3 was first listed, it didnt come with the shell carrier, so I emailed to ask if you got a discount ordering it with the rail. They emailed back and said they discussed it and made it an option if you bought the rail! I just got it in 1-2 weeks ago and put it on. I was very impressed with the quality of it. I like being able to swap out the rail sections without having to remove/remount accessories and being able to pop the shell carrier off/on real fast is nice for taking it off when you go to the range. I can't say how it compares to the mod2 though. I never had that one, but I don't think it had those options?
  7. Once you shoot them side x side, maybe you could give us a review?? I've never shot a Mossberg 930, but I own 3 Mossberg pumps which I like (not as much as my M4 LOL). It'd be nice to hear another opinion of it up against the Benelli M4.
  8. I seriously doubt anyone is going to take a shotgun apart to count how many parts are stamped "US". From everything I've seen, no one can cite one single case of someone being prosecuted for a 922r violation. Most think it's probably just another charge that would be tacked on if you ever get caught doing something much worse (like running red light charge after being charged for fleeing police). With that being said, for me, it's not about what the odds are of being caught. I wanted the titanium full length tube (which came with the follower) anyway. What's a few more bucks after that and the cost of the shotgun in order to be completely legal? Plus, I'm into the NFA stuff and I'm not about to let something silly be a snag for me after I dot my I's and cross my T's on everything else. But hey, make your own call. Maybe the cost of compliance justifies the negligible risk. And if you ever get caught, you can always say you were "the first"!
  9. No Prob. A small .5 ml tube is plenty for a rail. Only about $2 on amazon...Loctite part # 22205.
  10. My Sidearmor rail came with Locktite 222MS. I looked up the spec sheet before I put it on. http://www.loctite.sg/sea/content_data/93818_222MSEN.pdf Sounded like a good match to me, so I used it. Might want to consider it....
  11. Right, 10 or less parts on the list you saw. If you change from the factory pistol grip fixed stock to the Benelli collapsible pistol grip stock like I did, you then have 14. To get down to 10, I changed the tube, follower, forend, and hammer.
  12. Hes right, as long as you use the follower that comes with Kips tube, you'll be golden. 922r isn't about how many US parts you add; it's about getting the number of foreign made parts to 10 or less. With what you've listed, you should be right at 10.

    No Man Left Behind...

Thank YOU Kip for providing better than factory quality parts to make the M4 what it should be! Since I've been ordering from you, I've only seen fast response to inquiries, premium parts, and friendliness beyond expectations. Couldn't ask for more!
  14. I'm ready at the order button!
  15. +1 I don't know that anyone wants all the alphabet soup agencies on them.....FBI (interstate commerce), USPS (postal fraud), BATFE (firearms), etc....I'd think it's fine. I've done the same type purchase before. In fact, I'd suggest USPS money orders over anything else just so you could be sure to include one more federal agency if you had to.
  16. Ok, thanks for the tips guys! What made me hesitate last night was seeing it start to smoke, but that's apparently the sign that you're pretty much there. When I got home tonight, I pulled the heat gun back out, wrapped the receiver in a wash cloth, and lightly clamped it in a Jaw Horse. At first I put the heat gun on 400 like the directions state. After about 20-25 minutes, it wasn't smoking; so, I kicked it up to about 600-650. Voila! In no time it seemed like it was smoking. I let it go a little longer (maybe smoke 15-30 sec) and that baby unscrewed right out without even putting anymore heat to it. It also seemed to help directing the heat directly toward the tube where it threads into the receiver and not directly at the receiver. So thanks for the help! And I can't say enough for the quality of the new tube! Looks to be smoother machining and closer in color to the barrel than factory. And I can't believe how little it weighs! Impressive! Kip has really done a bang up job on these!!!
  17. OK, I hate to have to ask this, but I've done everything stated in the directions to remove the factory mag tube and I am having NO luck getting it to turn loose. I did it exactly as stated above (and in the included directions copied/pasted above) short of putting it in a vice. Am I missing something here?
  18. Sorry, just saw the AND FOREND GRIP.....I've heard good and bad about these... http://www.surefire.com/tactical-equipment/picatinny-rail-forends/benelli-m4-picatinny-forend.html
  19. I can't say these are the way to go for you, but this is what I have on order. So it's an option.... http://www.sidearmor.com/ http://freedomfightertactical.com/products-page/922r-compliant-forends/
  20. Yes, a three year old company is young, still pretty "new". Where was Magpul only three years into it? The only difference was they didn't give people a heads up what was coming until they could role it out in large numbers. As for your last couple questions, yes, I thought I should post. My reply was mainly to Amsdorf's post directly prior too mine and anyone else trying to decide if they want to wait. Don't like it? Oh well. Is your issue really with my number of posts or that you didnt like my response? And if by newbie fan boy you meant new to this particular forum then yes by all means I am. I guess to you that means I shouldn't give input or reply and that I have no firearms experience. That makes about as much sense as saying you having 300 posts means your well experienced. It seems more likely from your arrogance that you just like to talk a lot.
  21. I doubt you made a mistake ordering one from GG&G; their stuff is usually very nice and I've yet to be dissapointed with anything from them. I've been a repeat customer of their's for a few years now. I've bought multiple AR-15 attachments/acces from them and will be ordering at least the larger bolt release for my Benelli M4 and (whenever the ATF decides to get to my paperwork) M4 SBS. With that being said, word has it Carrier Comp's titanium tube's are second to none (and that's not just the word from these forums). I ordered one 2-3 weeks ago and just got an email its on the way; thats not a long wait in my book. As soon as the black titanium bolt knob's are available from Carrier Comp, I'll be ordering one. Same for when Geiselle gets around to sending them more 922r compliant hammers. Maybe these bolt knob's have been a while in the works; I can't speak to that. I will say that sometimes when you want the best, that means you have to wait for it. I ran into the same thing with Raven Concealment holsters. I ordered one, waited 4 1/2 months to get it (they're that backlogged), and was pretty frustrated by the time it arrived. But, when I tried it on, it was more than worth the wait and I'm now waiting on another. Seems like Carrier Comp is just a newer company and this is a "newer" product they're trying to role out. That means you have to be patient. If you don't wanna wait, then order one from someone else....it really IS that simple. I'll wait for what appears to be "the best". But maybe I'm just a newbie fan boi
  22. I'd love to know the answer to this; I'm in the same boat...
