  1. Anyone using a slip on for their M4? I'd like to get one but I searched the forum and found one user. He said to go with small but according to the size chart on their website it looks like Medium would be better. Anyone use/try one that can recommend a size? (see the link below for size chart). http://www.limbsaver.com/firearms/recoil.php#slip
  2. Hope you weren't calling me ignorant .... If you interpreted my sticker comment as serious.
  3. I think if you add a Joe Biden sticker to your stock, all compliance issues are waived.
  4. Hookster, thanks ..... at this point I need everything to come in and see how everything fits, etc. You guys have been great to a newb.
  5. The top built in rail will be for my EOTECH, hopefully that will fit better than the X300. The X300 and switch will either be mounted to the Brownells BLAM4 sling mount or the Briley tube mount rail. I have to see the ergonomic fit for everything once I have it all.
  6. Anyone use one of the slip-on Limbsavers (and what size) on thier M4?
  7. No, under the X300 is a spring loaded tab that raises a lock bar that would drop down into the rail to hold it from sliding. The light slides on the rail but that "tab" won't raise far enough to clear the rail and allow the light to slide on all the way.
  8. Yup, I'm using the P rail insert. Not sure I understand your adjustment procedure. If I take the light back off and tighten the hex screws, I'll be back to where I started and not enough clearance.
  9. Well it seems like it might be an issue with the Surefire ... got my Brownells BLAM4 adapter today and it has the same issue with that. Need to reach out to Surefire I guess.
  10. Thanks for the reply, this looked like a nice mounting option ...... order placed.
  11. I just received my Surefire X300-U and I replaced the factory installed Universal Rail mount and installed the Picatinny Rail mount. The light comes with four mounting options, two for Universal Rail (lever-latch or rail-lock) and two for Picatinny Rail (lever-latch or rail-lock). Now I don't plan on mounting the Surefire on the top rail but for grins I tried to slide it on. It seems the built in Picatinny rail is so tall (thick) it doesn't begin to clear the retractable lever-latch system when fully retracted. I double checked the surefire's picatinny mount and it's installed properly. I don't plan on mounting the light here anyhow, that's reserved for the EOTECH EOLAD-1VG so it may not be an issue but I was wondering if there are any known issues with tolerance and the Benelli factory Picatinny rail.
  12. Regarding the Briley unit, If I'm reading that correctly it's just something that slips over the stock mag tube so the rail attatchment can be fitted?
  13. Thanks all .... I ended up order the following (in 42"), it was cheap and will solve my immediate needs for now. http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Series-Tactical-Digital-38-Inch/dp/B00749SYAS I also have the following on order: http://www.gtdist.com/ProductDetail.aspx?PartNumber=EOT-EOLAD-1VG http://www.brownells.com/shooting-accessories/flashlights-accessories/flashlight-mounts/benelli-blam-light-mounts-prod44716.aspx http://www.botachtactical.com/sux3ul.html
  14. Hello, I'm new to the forum and it's been a long time since I shot shoguns. Last one was a 10guage side by side in the 80's. I just got a new M4 for range and HD use. I've been trying to read as much as possible so I don't ask dumb questions. Unfortunately I'm probably more confused about the 922r law than I was before. If I just want to add sights and light to my M4, do I need to be concerned about 922r? Also, the range here prefers you to have your gun in a case (which I want to have anyhow), I see the 42" soft case from Benelli is impossible to get (like most Benelli stuff it appears), can anyone recommend a nice soft case for the M4? I do plan on getting a Pelican hard case down the road. Thanks and I'm glad to be a part of the community and a Benelli owner!
